Now granted, I have not burdened you; yet sly as I am, I took you in by deceit!

不过就算如此，我也没有成为你们的负担——难道我是狡猾的人，用诡计牢笼了你们吗？

不過就算如此，我也沒有成為你們的負擔——難道我是狡猾的人，用詭計牢籠了你們嗎？

或云我雖不累爾、而以詭計取爾、

有謗我者、言雖不累爾、而以詭計取爾、

或有人云、我雖不累爾、乃為狡詐之人、以計取爾、

或曰：正惟彼不累爾、彼蓋矯情以取信、將間接貽爾以大累耳。

Be that as it may, I have not been a burden to you. Yet, crafty fellow that I am, I caught you by trickery!

In any case, I haven’t caused you any expense. But I’m so tricky! I have caught you by tricking you! Or so you think!

But granting that I myself did not burden you, I was crafty, you say, and got the better of you by deceit.

Some of you admit I was not a burden to you. But others still think I was sneaky and took advantage of you by trickery.

Now granted, I did not burden you; yet sly as I am, I took you in by deceit!

But be that as it may, I did not burden you myself; nevertheless, devious person that I am, I took you in by deceit.

But be that as it may, I did not burden you. Nevertheless, being crafty, I caught you by cunning!

But be it so, I did not myself burden you; but, being crafty, I caught you with guile.

But be it so, I did not burden you: nevertheless, being crafty, I caught you with guile.

But be that as it may, I have not burdened you. Yet because I was a crafty person, I took you in by deceit!

Even so, I myself didn’t burden you.“ But, being crafty, I caught you with deception.”

For this is our confidence: The testimony of our conscience is that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially toward you, with God-given sincerity and purity, not by fleshly wisdom but by God’s grace.

When I was present with you and in need, I did not burden anyone, for the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied my needs. I have kept myself, and will keep myself, from burdening you in any way.As the truth of Christ is in me, this boasting of mine will not be stopped in the regions of Achaia.

So in what way were you treated worse than the other churches, except that I personally did not burden you? Forgive me this wrong!

I beg you that when I am present I will not need to be bold with the confidence by which I plan to challenge certain people who think we are behaving in an unspiritual way.For though we live in the body, we do not wage war in an unspiritual way,

For we never used flattering speech, as you know, or had greedy motives— God is our witness—

For our exhortation didn’t come from error or impurity or an intent to deceive.

Instead, we have renounced shameful secret things, not walking in deceit or distorting God’s message, but commending ourselves to every person’s conscience in God’s sight by an open display of the truth.

Accept us. We have wronged no one, corrupted no one, defrauded no one.

since you have tasted that the Lord is good.
