並不是我們愛了神，而是神愛了我們，差派他的兒子來，為我們的罪孽做了平息祭——在這裡就是愛了。

我抹掉你的過犯，如同抹掉厚雲；我抹掉你的罪惡，如同抹掉薄霧；回轉歸向我吧，因為我救贖了你！

這是因為神本性的一切豐盛完美都有形有體地居住在基督裡面；

正如大家所承認的，敬神的奧祕是極大的：神以肉身顯現，被聖靈證實，被天使觀看，被傳於萬邦，被世人信仰，被接在榮耀裡。

但藉著神的恩典，藉著在基督耶穌裡的救贖，卻無償地被稱為義。神預先定下耶穌為平息祭，是用耶穌的血、藉著人的信，為要顯明神自己的義；因為他用忍耐的心，寬容人過去所犯的罪，為了在現今的時刻顯明他的義，好表明他自己為義，也稱信耶穌的人為義。

「我，是我為自己的緣故，抹掉你的過犯，不會記念你的罪惡。

正如大衛也論到神所算為義之人的福份，這義與行為無關；他說：「罪惡被赦免、罪孽被遮蓋的人，這人是蒙福的。主絕不算為有罪的，這人是蒙福的。」

我的孩子們哪，我把這些事寫給你們，免得你們犯罪。但如果有人犯了罪，在父那裡我們有一位辯護者，就是那義者耶穌基督。他自己為我們的罪孽做了平息祭，不僅是為我們的罪，也是為全世界的罪。

「看哪，那童貞女要懷孕，她要生一個兒子，人們將稱他的名為以馬內利。」——「以馬內利」翻譯出來就是「神與我們同在」。

難道你不相信我就在父裡面，父也在我裡面嗎？我對你們說的話，不是憑自己說的，而是住在我裡面的父，在做他的工作。你們當相信我：我在父裡面，父也在我裡面。即使不信，也當因我所做的事而相信。

我在他們裡面，你在我裡面，願他們能完全合一，好讓世界知道是你差派了我，也知道你愛他們，就像愛我那樣。

過犯得赦免、罪過被遮蓋的人，是蒙福的！不被耶和華算為有罪、心裡沒有詭詐的人，是蒙福的！

實際上，如果他們被丟棄，使世人與神和好了，那麼他們蒙接納，如果不是從死人中復生，又是什麼呢？

在那一天，你們就會明白：我在我父裡面，你們在我裡面，我也在你們裡面。
