We are not giving anyone an occasion for offense, so that the ministry will not be blamed.

我们凡事都不叫人有妨碍，免得这职分被人毁谤；

我们不在任何事上妨碍任何人，免得这使命被人毁谤；

我们不在任何事上妨碍任何人，免得这使命被人毁谤；

为了避免有人毁谤我们的职分，我们凡事尽量不妨碍别人，

我们凡事都没有妨碍人，不让这职分受到毁谤，

我们不在任何事上给任何人跌倒的借口，免得这服事的工作被人挑剔；

我們凡事都不叫人有妨礙，免得這職分被人毀謗；

我們不在任何事上妨礙任何人，免得這使命被人毀謗；

我們不在任何事上妨礙任何人，免得這使命被人毀謗；

為了避免有人毀謗我們的職分，我們凡事儘量不妨礙別人，

我們凡事都沒有妨礙人，不讓這職分受到毀謗，

在任何事上、對任何人、我們都沒有引起碰倒人的因由，免得這執事的職分受挑剔。

我們不在任何事上給任何人跌倒的藉口，免得這服事的工作被人挑剔；

我概不礙人、免我職受謗、

吾儕不窒礙人、恐吾職受謗、

我儕凡事不使人躓礙、恐我之職受謗、

蓋吾儕之所以小心翼翼、不敢稍樹梗障者亦欲不辱使命而已。

We put no stumbling block in anyone’s path, so that our ministry will not be discredited.

We don’t put anything in anyone’s way. So no one can find fault with our work for God.

We put no obstacle in anyone’s way, so that no fault may be found with our ministry,

We live in such a way that no one will stumble because of us, and no one will find fault with our ministry.

giving no reason for taking offense in anything, so that the ministry will not be discredited,

We give no offense in anything, that our ministry may not be blamed.

giving no occasion of stumbling in anything, that our ministration be not blamed;

We give no opportunity for stumbling to anyone, so that the ministry will not be blamed.

Giving no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed:

We do not give anyone an occasion for taking an offense in anything, so that no fault may be found with our ministry.

We give no occasion of stumbling in anything, that our service may not be blamed,

Therefore, let us no longer judge one another. Instead decide never to put a stumbling block or pitfall in the way of your brother or sister.

If others have this right to receive benefits from you, don’t we even more? Nevertheless, we have not made use of this right; instead, we endure everything so that we will not hinder the gospel of Christ.

“ But, so we won’t offend them, go to the sea, cast in a fishhook, and take the first fish that you catch. When you open its mouth you’ll find a coin. Take it and give it to them for me and you.”

Give no offense to Jews or Greeks or the church of God,just as I also try to please everyone in everything, not seeking my own benefit, but the benefit of many, so that they may be saved.

To the weak I became weak, in order to win the weak. I have become all things to all people, so that I may by every possible means save some.

We are taking this precaution so that no one will criticize us about this large sum that we are administering.

“ Everything is permissible,” but not everything is beneficial.“ Everything is permissible,” but not everything builds up.No one is to seek his own good, but the good of the other person.

“ But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to fall away— it would be better for him if a heavy millstone were hung around his neck and he were drowned in the depths of the sea.

Indeed, this is our boast: The testimony of our conscience is that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially toward you, with godly sincerity and purity, not by human wisdom but by God’s grace.

But be careful that this right of yours in no way becomes a stumbling block to the weak.For if someone sees you, the one who has knowledge, dining in an idol’s temple, won’t his weak conscience be encouraged to eat food offered to idols?So the weak person, the brother or sister for whom Christ died, is ruined by your knowledge.Now when you sin like this against brothers and sisters and wound their weak conscience, you are sinning against Christ.Therefore, if food causes my brother or sister to fall, I will never again eat meat, so that I won’t cause my brother or sister to fall.
