故我勸提多既於爾中首勸施惠捐貲、亦當畢此事、

以是吾儕亦鼓勵提多繼續向爾等勸募、俾成爾等之美德。

So we urged Titus, just as he had earlier made a beginning, to bring also to completion this act of grace on your part.

Titus had already started collecting money from you. So we asked him to help you finish making your kind gift.

Accordingly, we urged Titus that as he had started, so he should complete among you this act of grace.

What is more, he was chosen by the churches to accompany us as we carry the offering, which we administer in order to honor the Lord himself and to show our eagerness to help. (niv)

I have received full payment and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. (niv)

So I thought it necessary to urge the brothers to visit you in advance and finish the arrangements for the generous gift you had promised. Then it will be ready as a generous gift, not as one grudgingly given. (niv)

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. (niv)
