是施濟之職、不第補聖徒不足、益令人徧謝上帝、

蓋此施濟之事、不但補聖徒之不足、亦使多人感謝天主、

是則此項善舉不僅補聖徒之不足、抑且使眾心感謝天主、於以增益天主之光榮。

This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.

Your gifts meet the needs of the Lord’s people. And that’s not all. Your gifts also cause many people to thank God.

For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God.

So two good things will result from this ministry of giving— the needs of the believers in Jerusalem will be met, and they will joyfully express their thanks to God.

凡有世上财物的，看见弟兄穷乏，却硬着心肠不理，他怎能说他心里有神的爱呢？

我的弟兄们，人若说他有信心，却没有行为，有什么益处呢？这信心能救他吗？如果有弟兄或姊妹缺衣少食，而你们中间有人对他们说：“平平安安地去吧！愿你们穿得暖，吃得饱。”却不给他们身体所需用的，那有什么用处呢？

你们所送的我都全数收到了，而且绰绰有余；我已经足够了，因我从以巴弗提收到你们所送的，好像馨香之气，是神所接纳所喜悦的祭物。我的神必照他在基督耶稣里荣耀的丰富，满足你们的一切需要。

我听见你对主耶稣和众圣徒有爱心和信心，我每逢祷告提到你的时候，就常常感谢我的神。

再三恳求我们，准许他们在供应圣徒的事上有分。

然而我认为必须差以巴弗提到你们那里去，他是我的弟兄，与我一同作工一同作战的，也是你们为我的需要差来服事我的。

关于供应圣徒的事，我本来没有写信给你们的必要，

现在你们富裕，就要补助他们的缺乏，到了他们富裕的时候，也可以补助你们的缺乏，这样就均等了；正如经上所记：“多的，没有剩余，少的，也不缺乏。”

请你们一同用祷告支持我们，好使许多人为着我们所蒙的恩献上感谢。这恩是藉着许多人的代求而得到的。
