This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.

凡有斯世之財產者、視兄弟匱乏、自塞其矜恤之心、則上帝之愛烏得寓其衷哉、

我兄弟乎、人若自謂有信而無行、何益之有、信能救之乎、若兄弟姊妹裸體、而日乏食、爾中或語之曰、安然而往、願爾溫飽、而不予以身之所需、則何益哉、

我有諸物、充溢矣、饒足矣、蓋由以巴弗提受爾來物、為馨香可納之祭、乃上帝所悅者、我上帝將充裕爾之所需、依其榮之富有、在基督耶穌中者、

我恆謝我上帝、於祈禱間念及爾、緣聞爾之愛與向主耶穌及眾聖徒之信、致爾與眾之信有效、得識爾所有之善、在於基督、兄弟歟、我於爾愛、喜慰特甚、因諸聖徒之心、已由爾而怡、○

懇求我儕、俾與於供事聖徒之恩、

但我意必遣我兄弟以巴弗提就爾、乃與我同勞同伍、為爾之使、供我所需者、

論供事聖徒、毋庸書以遺爾、

惟欲其均耳、今爾以有餘補彼不足、後彼亦以有餘補爾不足、是則均矣、經云、多者無餘、寡者無乏、○

爾亦以祈禱助我、致為我由多人得恩、因而感謝者亦多、○
