昔耶和華命厥僕以利亞、論亞哈之家、今已行之、蓋耶和華之言必無不應、爾眾所當知也。

Know, then, that not a word the Lord has spoken against the house of Ahab will fail. The Lord has done what he announced through his servant Elijah.”

I want you to know that the Lord has spoken against Ahab’s royal house. Not a word of what he has said will fail. The Lord has done exactly what he announced through his servant Elijah.”

You can be sure that the message of the Lord that was spoken concerning Ahab’s family will not fail. The Lord declared through his servant Elijah that this would happen.”

Know then that nothing of the word of the Lord, which the Lord spoke concerning the house of Ahab, shall fall to the earth, for the Lord has done what He spoke through His servant Elijah.”

You will destroy the family of your master Ahab. I will get revenge against Jezebel for the shed blood of my servants the prophets and for the shed blood of all the LORD’s servants.Ahab’s entire family will die. I will cut off every last male belonging to Ahab in Israel, including even the weak and incapacitated.I will make Ahab’s dynasty like those of Jeroboam son of Nebat and Baasha son of Ahijah.Dogs will devour Jezebel on the plot of ground in Jezreel; she will not be buried.’” Then he opened the door and ran away.

Say to him,‘ This is what the LORD says:“ Haven’t you committed murder and taken possession of the property of the deceased?”’ Then say to him,‘ This is what the LORD says:“ In the spot where dogs licked up Naboth’s blood they will also lick up your blood– yes, yours!”’”

Samuel continued to grow, and the LORD was with him. None of his prophecies fell to the ground unfulfilled.

The LORD says,‘ Look, I am ready to bring disaster on you. I will destroy you and cut off every last male belonging to Ahab in Israel, including even the weak and incapacitated.I will make your dynasty like those of Jeroboam son of Nebat and Baasha son of Ahijah because you angered me and made Israel sin.’The LORD says this about Jezebel,‘ Dogs will devour Jezebel by the outer wall of Jezreel.’As for Ahab’s family, dogs will eat the ones who die in the city, and the birds of the sky will eat the ones who die in the country.”

When they went back and told him, he said,“ The LORD’s word through his servant, Elijah the Tishbite, has come to pass. He warned,‘ In the plot of land at Jezreel, dogs will devour Jezebel’s flesh.

The Preeminent One of Israel does not go back on his word or change his mind, for he is not a human being who changes his mind.”

But have my words and statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, not outlived your fathers? Then they paid attention and confessed,‘ The LORD who rules over all has indeed done what he said he would do to us, because of our sinful ways.’”

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

Some who survive in battle will return to the land of Judah from the land of Egypt. But they will be very few indeed! Then the Judean remnant who have come to live in the land of Egypt will know whose word proves true, mine or theirs.’Moreover the LORD says,‘ I will make something happen to prove that I will punish you in this place.
