he met some relatives of Ahaziah king of Judah and asked,“ Who are you?” They said,“ We are relatives of Ahaziah, and we have come down to greet the families of the king and of the queen mother.”

he saw some people. They were relatives of Ahaziah, the king of Judah. Jehu asked them,“ Who are you?” They said,“ We are Ahaziah’s relatives. We’ve come down to visit the families of the king and of his mother.”

Jehu met the relatives of Ahaziah king of Judah, and he said,“ Who are you?” And they answered,“ We are the relatives of Ahaziah, and we came down to visit the royal princes and the sons of the queen mother.”

he met some relatives of King Ahaziah of Judah.“ Who are you?” he asked them. And they replied,“ We are relatives of King Ahaziah. We are going to visit the sons of King Ahab and the sons of the queen mother.”

Jehu met the relatives of King Ahaziah of Judah and asked,“ Who are you?” They answered,“ We’re Ahaziah’s relatives. We’ve come down to greet the king’s sons and the queen mother’s sons.”

约兰王回到耶斯列，医治在拉末与亚兰王哈薛打仗时，被亚兰人击打所受的伤。约兰的儿子犹大王亚哈谢因为亚哈的儿子约兰病了，就下到耶斯列看望他。

约兰与他祖先同睡，与他祖先同葬在大卫城，他儿子亚哈谢接续他作王。

他们上来攻击犹大，侵入境内，掳掠了王宫里所有的财物和他的妻妾、儿女，除了他的小儿子约哈斯之外，没有留下一个儿子。

耶路撒冷的居民立约兰的小儿子亚哈谢接续他作王，因为跟随阿拉伯人来攻营的军兵把亚哈谢所有的兄长都杀了；犹大王约兰的儿子亚哈谢就作了王。亚哈谢登基的时候年四十二岁，在耶路撒冷作王一年。他母亲名叫亚她利雅，是暗利的孙女。亚哈谢也行亚哈家的道，因为他母亲给他主谋，使他行恶。他行耶和华眼中看为恶的事，像亚哈家一样；因他父亲死后，他们给他主谋，使他败坏。他也听从他们的计谋，与以色列王亚哈的儿子约兰同往基列的拉末去，与亚兰王哈薛交战。亚兰人打伤了约兰，他回到耶斯列，医治在拉末与亚兰王哈薛打仗时被击打所受的伤。约兰的儿子犹大王亚哈谢因为亚哈的儿子约兰病了，就下到耶斯列看望他。亚哈谢去见约兰而遇害，这是出乎神；因为他一到就同约兰出去攻击宁示的孙子耶户；这耶户是耶和华所膏，使他剪除亚哈家的。耶户向亚哈家施行惩罚的时候，遇见犹大的众领袖和亚哈谢的侄子们正服事亚哈谢，就把他们都杀了。亚哈谢躲在撒玛利亚，耶户寻找他，众人把他拿住，送到耶户那里，就杀了他。他们把他埋葬，因他们说，他是那尽心寻求耶和华之约沙法的儿子。这样，亚哈谢的家无力保住国权。亚哈谢的母亲亚她利雅见她儿子死了，就起来剿灭犹大王室所有的后裔。

约兰吩咐说：“套车！”人就给他套车。以色列王约兰和犹大王亚哈谢各坐自己的车出去迎接耶户，在耶斯列人拿伯的田那里遇见他。约兰见耶户就说：“耶户，平安吗？”耶户说：“你母亲耶洗别的淫行邪术这样多，怎么能平安呢？”约兰用手转过车来逃跑，对亚哈谢说：“亚哈谢啊，反了！”耶户全力拉弓，射中约兰两臂中间，箭从心窝穿出，约兰就仆倒在车上。耶户对他的军官毕甲说：“把他抛在耶斯列人拿伯的田里。你当记得，你我一同驾车跟随他父亲亚哈的时候，耶和华对亚哈说了预言，耶和华说：‘我昨日看见拿伯的血和他众子的血，我发誓我必在这块田上报应你。’这是耶和华说的。现在你要照着耶和华的话，把他抛在这田里。”犹大王亚哈谢看见了，就沿着伯‧哈干的路逃跑。耶户追赶他，说：“把这人也击杀在车上，在靠近以伯莲的姑珥坡上。”他逃到米吉多，就死在那里。
