When he left there, he met Jehonadab, son of Rekab, who had been looking for him. Jehu greeted him and asked,“ Are you as committed to me as I am to you?” Jehonadab answered,“ I am!” Jehu replied,“ If so, give me your hand.” So he offered his hand and Jehu pulled him up into the chariot.

由彼而往、遇哩甲子約拿撻、施禮既竟、問曰、我心與爾相合、不知爾心亦與我相合乎。約拿撻曰、無不相合。曰、合則與我攜手。遂攜手、賜之同車。

自彼而往、遇利甲子約拿達來迎、耶戶問其安、謂之曰、我心向爾真誠、不知爾心向我亦真誠否、約拿達曰、真誠、耶戶曰、如是、則向我伸手、遂伸手、耶戶挽之登車、

After he left there, he came upon Jehonadab son of Rekab, who was on his way to meet him. Jehu greeted him and said,“ Are you in accord with me, as I am with you?”“ I am,” Jehonadab answered.“ If so,” said Jehu,“ give me your hand.” So he did, and Jehu helped him up into the chariot.

Jehu left there. On the way he met Jehonadab. He was the son of Rekab. Jehonadab was on his way to see Jehu. Jehu greeted him. He asked,“ Are you my friend? You know I’m your friend.”“ I am,” Jehonadab answered.“ If that’s true,” said Jehu,“ hold out your hand.” So he did. Then Jehu helped him up into the chariot.

And when he departed from there, he met Jehonadab the son of Rechab coming to meet him. And he greeted him and said to him,“ Is your heart true to my heart as mine is to yours?” And Jehonadab answered,“ It is.” Jehu said,“ If it is, give me your hand.” So he gave him his hand. And Jehu took him up with him into the chariot.

When Jehu left there, he met Jehonadab son of Recab, who was coming to meet him. After they had greeted each other, Jehu said to him,“ Are you as loyal to me as I am to you?”“ Yes, I am,” Jehonadab replied.“ If you are,” Jehu said,“ then give me your hand.” So Jehonadab put out his hand, and Jehu helped him into the chariot.

When he left there, he found Jehonadab son of Rechab coming to meet him. He greeted him and then asked,“ Is your heart one with mine?”“ It is,” Jehonadab replied. Jehu said,“ If it is, give me your hand.” So he gave him his hand, and Jehu pulled him up into the chariot with him.

Now when he had gone from there, he encountered Jehonadab the son of Rechab coming to meet him; and he greeted him and said to him,“ Is your heart right, just as my heart is with your heart?” And Jehonadab answered,“ It is.” Jehu said,“ If it is, give me your hand.” And he gave him his hand, and he pulled him up to him into the chariot.

Now when he departed from there, he met Jehonadab the son of Rechab, coming to meet him; and he greeted him and said to him,“ Is your heart right, as my heart is toward your heart?” And Jehonadab answered,“ It is.” Jehu said,“ If it is, give me your hand.” So he gave him his hand, and he took him up to him into the chariot.

And when he was departed thence, he lighted on Jehonadab the son of Rechab coming to meet him; and he saluted him, and said to him, Is thy heart right, as my heart is with thy heart? And Jehonadab answered, It is. If it be, give me thy hand. And he gave him his hand; and he took him up to him into the chariot.

When he left there, he found Jehonadab son of Rechab coming to meet him. He greeted him and then asked,“ Is your heart one with mine?”“ It is,” Jehonadab replied. Jehu said,“ If it is, give me your hand.” So he gave him his hand, and Jehu pulled him up into the chariot with him.

And when he was departed thence, he lighted on Jehonadab the son of Rechab[ coming] to meet him: and he saluted him, and said to him, Is thine heart right, as my heart[ is] with thy heart? And Jehonadab answered, It is. If it be, give[ me] thine hand. And he gave[ him] his hand; and he took him up to him into the chariot.

When he had departed from there, he met Jehonadab the son of Rechab coming to meet him. He greeted him, and said to him,“ Is your heart right, as my heart is with your heart?” Jehonadab answered,“ It is.”“ If it is, give me your hand.” He gave him his hand; and he took him up to him into the chariot.

Jonadab son of Rechab ordered his descendants not to drink wine. His orders have been carried out. To this day his descendants have drunk no wine because they have obeyed what their ancestor commanded them. But I have spoken to you over and over again, but you have not obeyed me!I sent all my servants the prophets to warn you over and over again. They said,“ Every one of you, stop doing the evil things you have been doing and do what is right. Do not pay allegiance to other gods and worship them. Then you can continue to live in this land that I gave to you and your ancestors.” But you did not pay any attention or listen to me.Yes, the descendants of Jonadab son of Rechab have carried out the orders that their ancestor gave them. But you people have not obeyed me!So I, the LORD, the God who rules over all, the God of Israel, say:“ I will soon bring on Judah and all the citizens of Jerusalem all the disaster that I threatened to bring on them. I will do this because I spoke to them but they did not listen. I called out to them but they did not answer.”’”Then Jeremiah spoke to the Rechabite community,“ The LORD God of Israel who rules over all says,‘ You have obeyed the orders of your ancestor Jonadab. You have followed all his instructions. You have done exactly as he commanded you.’So the LORD God of Israel who rules over all says,‘ Jonadab son of Rechab will never lack a male descendant to serve me.’”

( They gave their word to send away their wives; their guilt offering was a ram from the flock for their guilt.)

and the clans of the scribes who lived in Jabez: the Tirathites, Shimeathites, and Sucathites. These are the Kenites who descended from Hammath, the father of Beth-Rechab.

He despised the oath by breaking the covenant. Take note– he gave his promise and did all these things– he will not escape!

I beg you, brothers and sisters, become like me, because I have become like you. You have done me no wrong!

David went out to meet them and said,“ If you come to me in peace and want to help me, then I will make an alliance with you. Jehu encountered the relatives of King Ahaziah of Judah. He asked,“ Who are you?” They replied,“ We are Ahaziah’s relatives. We have come down to see how the king’s sons and the queen mother’s sons are doing.”

Then Joseph brought in his father Jacob and presented him before Pharaoh. Jacob blessed Pharaoh.

Then Jacob blessed Pharaoh and went out from his presence.

and when James, Cephas, and John, who had a reputation as pillars, recognized the grace that had been given to me, they gave to Barnabas and me the right hand of fellowship, agreeing that we would go to the Gentiles and they to the circumcised.

( 32: 1) Early in the morning Laban kissed his grandchildren and his daughters goodbye and blessed them. Then Laban left and returned home.

Jehoram ordered,“ Hitch up my chariot.” When his chariot had been hitched up, King Jehoram of Israel and King Ahaziah of Judah went out in their respective chariots to meet Jehu. They met up with him in the plot of land that had once belonged to Naboth of Jezreel.

Then when they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter,“ Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these do?” He replied,“ Yes, Lord, you know I love you.” Jesus told him,“ Feed my lambs.”Jesus said a second time,“ Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He replied,“ Yes, Lord, you know I love you.” Jesus told him,“ Shepherd my sheep.”Jesus said a third time,“ Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was distressed that Jesus asked him a third time,“ Do you love me?” and said,“ Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you.” Jesus replied,“ Feed my sheep.

But they answered,“ We do not drink wine because our ancestor Jonadab son of Rechab commanded us not to. He told us,‘ You and your children must never drink wine.Do not build houses. Do not plant crops. Do not plant a vineyard or own one. Live in tents all your lives. If you do these things you will live a long time in the land that you wander about on.’We and our wives and our sons and daughters have obeyed everything our ancestor Jonadab commanded us. We have never drunk wine.We have not built any houses to live in. We do not own any vineyards, fields, or crops.We have lived in tents. We have obeyed our ancestor Jonadab and done exactly as he commanded us.
