But Jehosheba, the daughter of King Jehoram and sister of Ahaziah, took Joash son of Ahaziah and stole him away from among the royal princes, who were about to be murdered. She put him and his nurse in a bedroom to hide him from Athaliah; so he was not killed.

But Jehosheba went and got Joash, the son of Ahaziah. Jehosheba was the daughter of King Jehoram and the sister of Ahaziah. She stole Joash away from among the royal princes. All of them were about to be murdered. She put Joash and his nurse in a bedroom. That’s how she hid him from Athaliah. And that’s why Athaliah didn’t kill him.

But Jehosheba, the daughter of King Joram, sister of Ahaziah, took Joash the son of Ahaziah and stole him away from among the king’s sons who were being put to death, and she put him and his nurse in a bedroom. Thus they hid him from Athaliah, so that he was not put to death.

But Ahaziah’s sister Jehosheba, the daughter of King Jehoram, took Ahaziah’s infant son, Joash, and stole him away from among the rest of the king’s children, who were about to be killed. She put Joash and his nurse in a bedroom, and they hid him from Athaliah, so the child was not murdered.

Jehosheba, who was King Jehoram’s daughter and Ahaziah’s sister, secretly rescued Joash son of Ahaziah from among the king’s sons who were being killed and put him and the one who nursed him in a bedroom. So he was hidden from Athaliah and was not killed.

But Jehosheba, the daughter of King Joram, sister of Ahaziah, took Joash the son of Ahaziah and abducted him from among the king’s sons who were being put to death, and put him and his nurse in the bedroom. So they hid him from Athaliah, and he was not put to death.

She hid him and his nurse in the room where the bed covers were stored. So he was hidden from Athaliah and escaped execution.

But Jehosheba, the daughter of king Joram, sister of Ahaziah, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him away from among the king’s sons who were slain, even him and his nurse, and put them in the bedroom; and they hid him from Athaliah, so that he was not slain.

耶和华这样说：“人怎样发现累累葡萄中有新酒的时候，就说：‘不要毁灭它，因为有好处在里面’，我因我的众仆人的缘故也必照样而行，不把它们全都毁灭。我要从雅各中领出后裔，从犹大中领出承受我众山的；我拣选的人必承受那地为业，我的众仆人必在那里居住。

厢房的下层门在殿的右边，人可以从螺旋形梯子上厢房的中层，再从中层上到第三层。

因为耶和华这样说：‘大卫家必不断有人坐在以色列家的王位上。

我就会弃绝雅各的后裔，和我仆人大卫的后裔，不从大卫的后裔中选人出来统治亚伯拉罕、以撒和雅各的后裔。我却必使他们被掳的人归回，也必怜悯他们。’”

“我们可以上去攻打犹大，扰乱她，把她攻占过来，归我们所有，又在其中立他比勒的儿子作王。”因此，主耶和华这样说：“这计谋必立不住，也不能成就，

因我为自己的缘故，又为我仆人大卫的缘故，必保护这城，拯救这城。’”

就能废掉我和我仆人大卫所立的约，使他没有儿子在他的王位上作王；也能废掉我和那些事奉我的利未支派的祭司所立的约。

他对我说：“这间朝向南面的房子是给那些负责圣殿职事的祭司使用的。

“你去见利甲族的人，和他们交谈，领他们进入耶和华殿里的一个房间，给他们酒喝。”

任何智慧、聪明、谋略都不能敌挡耶和华。

但是王的女儿约示巴，把亚哈谢的儿子约阿施从那些将要被杀的王子中偷出来，把他和他的乳母都藏在卧房里。约兰王的女儿约示巴是大祭司耶何耶大的妻子，把约阿施收藏起来，躲避亚他利雅，免得被亚他利雅杀死，因为约示巴是亚哈谢的妹妹。

约阿施作王的时候，只有七岁。（本节在《马索拉文本》为12:1）耶户在位第七年，约阿施登基，在耶路撒冷作王四十年。他母亲名叫西比亚，是从别是巴来的。（本节在《马索拉文本》为12:2）在耶何耶大祭司教导他的日子，他就行耶和华看为正的事。

靠着圣殿所建的厢房，每层高两公尺两公寸，都用香柏木的梁木与殿连接。

以色列王亚哈的儿子约兰第五年，犹大王约沙法还在的时候，犹大王约沙法的儿子约兰登基作了王。

但耶和华因他仆人大卫的缘故不愿毁灭犹大，却要照他应许大卫的，赐给他和他的后裔永远有灯光延续。

紧靠殿墙，就是围着外殿和内殿的墙，他又建造平台，围绕殿的四周，做成厢房。厢房的下层宽两公尺两公寸；中层宽两公尺七公寸；第三层宽三公尺一公寸。他在殿墙外面四周留有暗架，所以梁木不必插入殿墙里。
