But Jehosheba, the daughter of King Jehoram and sister of Ahaziah, took Joash son of Ahaziah and stole him away from among the royal princes, who were about to be murdered. She put him and his nurse in a bedroom to hide him from Athaliah; so he was not killed.

But Jehosheba went and got Joash, the son of Ahaziah. Jehosheba was the daughter of King Jehoram and the sister of Ahaziah. She stole Joash away from among the royal princes. All of them were about to be murdered. She put Joash and his nurse in a bedroom. That’s how she hid him from Athaliah. And that’s why Athaliah didn’t kill him.

But Jehosheba, the daughter of King Joram, sister of Ahaziah, took Joash the son of Ahaziah and stole him away from among the king’s sons who were being put to death, and she put him and his nurse in a bedroom. Thus they hid him from Athaliah, so that he was not put to death.

But Ahaziah’s sister Jehosheba, the daughter of King Jehoram, took Ahaziah’s infant son, Joash, and stole him away from among the rest of the king’s children, who were about to be killed. She put Joash and his nurse in a bedroom, and they hid him from Athaliah, so the child was not murdered.

Jehosheba, who was King Jehoram’s daughter and Ahaziah’s sister, secretly rescued Joash son of Ahaziah from among the king’s sons who were being killed and put him and the one who nursed him in a bedroom. So he was hidden from Athaliah and was not killed.

She hid him and his nurse in the room where the bed covers were stored. So he was hidden from Athaliah and escaped execution.

But Jehosheba, the daughter of king Joram, sister of Ahaziah, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him away from among the king’s sons who were slain, even him and his nurse, and put them in the bedroom; and they hid him from Athaliah, so that he was not slain.

永恆主這麼說：『人怎樣從葡萄嘟嚕中取得新酒，而說：「不要毁它，因為有讓人蒙祝福的因素在那裏面」，我因我僕人的緣故也必照樣而行，不將他們全都毁滅。我必從雅各中領出後裔來，從猶大中領出那要擁有我的眾山的；我的選民必擁有她以為業，我的僕人必在那裏居住。

在殿的南邊、廂房下層那裏有門；人從螺旋樓梯可以上到中層，又從中層到第三層。

『因為永恆主這麼說：大衛家總必不斷地會有人坐以色列家的王位；

那麼我也就能棄絕雅各的後裔、和我僕人大衛的後裔，不從他後裔中選取了人做統治者來管理亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各的後裔。因為我一定要恢復他們的故業，一定要憐憫他們。』

『我們來上去攻擊猶大，使它恐怖，攻破它來歸我們，在那中間立他比勒的兒子為王』，因此主永恆主這麼說：這計謀必立不住，也不能實現；

為了我自己的緣故、又為了我僕人大衛的緣故、我必圍護這城來拯救它。」』

那麼我與我僕人大衛立的約也就能廢棄，使他沒有兒子在他的王位上做王，而我與伺候我的祭司利未人立的約也就能廢棄、使他們沒有人服事我。

他對我說：這間朝着南路的屋子是給守着殿宇職守的祭司用的。

『你去見利甲族的人，同他們說話，領他們進永恆主之殿的一間廂房，給他們酒喝。』

沒有智慧、沒有明達、沒有謀略能敵得過永恆主。

但是王的女兒約示巴將亞哈謝的兒子約阿施、從那些將要被殺死的王子中偷出來，把他和他的奶媽都放在貯藏床鋪的內室裏。約蘭王的女兒約示巴、祭司耶何耶大的妻子，因為是亞哈謝的妹子，便得以將約阿施藏起來、以躲避亞他利雅的勢面，亞他利雅就沒有將約阿施殺死。

約阿施登極的時候、才七歲。耶戶七年、約阿施登極作王；他在耶路撒冷作王四十年。他母親名叫西比亞，是別是巴人。儘祭司耶何耶大指教他的日子，約阿施都行永恆主所看為對的事。

他建造了樓房靠着整個的殿，每層各高五肘；都用香柏木料和殿連接着。

以色列王亞哈的兒子約蘭第五年、猶大王約沙法的兒子約蘭登極作了王。

但永恆主卻因他僕人大衛的緣故仍不情願滅絕猶大，乃是照他對大衛所應許過的、要使他和他子孫日日不斷地有燈光。

他建造了樓房靠着殿的牆、圍着殿四圍的牆；對着殿堂和內殿他四圍造了廂房。廂房下層寬五肘，中層寬六肘，第三層寬七肘；因為殿的外面四圍有坎，免得梁木插入殿的牆裏。
