Then King Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglath-Pileser king of Assyria. He saw an altar in Damascus and sent to Uriah the priest a sketch of the altar, with detailed plans for its construction.

Then King Ahaz went to Damascus. He went there to see Tiglath- Pileser, the king of Assyria. Ahaz saw an altar in Damascus. He sent a drawing of it to Uriah the priest. Ahaz also sent him plans for building it.

When King Ahaz went to Damascus to meet Tiglath-pileser king of Assyria, he saw the altar that was at Damascus. And King Ahaz sent to Uriah the priest a model of the altar, and its pattern, exact in all its details.

我要用誠實的見證人，祭司烏利亞和耶比利家的兒子撒迦利亞記錄這事。」

耶和華如此說：你們不要效法列國的行為，也不要為天象驚惶，因列國為此事驚惶。

他們若因自己所行的一切事慚愧，你就將殿的規模、樣式、出入之處，和一切形狀、典章、禮儀、法則指示他們，在他們眼前寫上，使他們遵照殿的一切規模典章去做。

他祭祀攻擊他的大馬士革之神，說：「因為亞蘭王的神幫助他們，我也獻祭與他，他好幫助我。」但那些神使他和以色列眾人敗亡了。亞哈斯將神殿裏的器皿都聚了來，毀壞了，且封鎖耶和華殿的門；在耶路撒冷各處的拐角建築祭壇，又在猶大各城建立邱壇，與別神燒香，惹動耶和華－他列祖神的怒氣。

使他們的門檻挨近我的門檻，他們的門框挨近我的門框；他們與我中間僅隔一牆，並且行可憎的事，玷污了我的聖名，所以我發怒滅絕他們。

他們將人的吩咐當作道理教導人，所以拜我也是枉然。」

摩西將耶和華的命令都寫上。清早起來，在山下築一座壇，按以色列十二支派立十二根柱子，

不要效法這個世界，只要心意更新而變化，叫你們察驗何為神的善良、純全、可喜悅的旨意。

耶和華怎樣吩咐的，他們就怎樣做了。摩西看見一切的工都做成了，就給他們祝福。

以色列王比加年間，亞述王提革拉‧毗列色來奪了以雲、亞伯‧伯‧瑪迦、亞挪、基低斯、夏瑣、基列、加利利，和拿弗他利全地，將這些地方的居民都擄到亞述去了。

大衛將殿的遊廊、旁屋、府庫、樓房、內殿，和施恩所的樣式指示他兒子所羅門，又將被靈感動所得的樣式，就是耶和華神殿的院子、周圍的房屋、殿的府庫，和聖物府庫的一切樣式都指示他；

這樣，他們被自己所做的污穢了，在行為上犯了邪淫。

他就可以不孝敬父母。』這就是你們藉着遺傳，廢了神的誡命。

知道你們得贖，脫去你們祖宗所傳流虛妄的行為，不是憑着能壞的金銀等物，

那時就要謹慎，不可在他們除滅之後隨從他們的惡俗，陷入網羅，也不可訪問他們的神說：『這些國民怎樣事奉他們的神，我也要照樣行。』

大衛說：「這一切工作的樣式都是耶和華用手劃出來使我明白的。」

阿荷利巴一看見就貪戀他們，打發使者往迦勒底去見他們。巴比倫人就來登她愛情的牀，與她行淫玷污她。她被玷污，隨後心裏與他們生疏。
