耶和華說：「先知和祭司都不敬虔，我甚至看見他們在我的聖殿裡行惡。

我現在是要贏得人的贊同嗎？還是要贏得上帝的贊同？難道我是要討好人嗎？如果我仍舊要討好人，我就不是基督的奴僕了。

以法蓮因甘願追隨偶像而受欺壓，被審判壓碎。

祭司亞撒利雅率領八十位耶和華勇敢的祭司跟著進殿，阻止烏西雅王，說：「烏西雅啊，給耶和華燒香不是你可以做的事，乃是承受聖職做祭司的亞倫子孫的事。離開聖所吧！你已干犯耶和華上帝，必不能從祂那裡得榮耀。」

祭司的嘴唇應持守知識，人民應從他口中尋求訓誨，因為他是萬軍之耶和華的使者。然而，你們卻偏離正道，你們的教導使許多人跌倒，破壞了我和利未所立的約。」這是萬軍之耶和華說的。「因此，我必使你們在眾人面前遭藐視、輕賤。因為你們不遵守我的道，在教導上偏心待人。」
