He followed the ways of the kings of Israel and even sacrificed his son in the fire, engaging in the detestable practices of the nations the Lord had driven out before the Israelites.

王打定了主意，就做了兩個金牛犢，對眾民說：“以色列人哪，你們上耶路撒冷去實在夠了。看哪，這是你們的神，就是從埃及地領你們上來的那位。”他就把一個牛犢安放在伯特利，一個安放在但。這事成了以色列人的罪，因為眾民都到但那個牛犢面前敬拜。

“你要對以色列人說：任何以色列人，或是在以色列中寄居的外人，把自己的兒子獻給摩洛，必要把他處死；本地的人要用石頭把他打死。

你們奉上供物，使你們的兒子經火，用你們的一切偶像玷污自己，直到今日。以色列家啊，我怎能讓你們向我求問呢？主耶和華說：我指著我的永生起誓：我決不讓你們向我求問。這是主耶和華的宣告。
