亚述的将军说：“你们去告诉希西迦，伟大的亚述王说，‘你凭什么这样自信呢？

拉伯沙基说：“你们去告诉希西家说，亚述大王如此说：‘你所倚靠的有什么可仗赖的呢？

将军对他们说：“你们去告诉希西家，大王亚述王如此说：‘你倚靠什么，让你如此自信满满？

将军对他们说：“你们去告诉希西家，大王亚述王如此说：‘你倚靠什么，让你如此自信满满？

拉伯沙基对他们说：“你们要对希西家说：‘亚述大王这样说：你所倚赖的这种防御算是什么呢？

拉伯沙基說：「你們去告訴希西家說，亞述大王如此說：『你所倚靠的有甚麼可仗賴的呢？

將軍對他們說：「你們去告訴希西家，大王亞述王如此說：『你倚靠甚麼，讓你如此自信滿滿？

將軍對他們說：「你們去告訴希西家，大王亞述王如此說：『你倚靠甚麼，讓你如此自信滿滿？

亞述的將軍說：「你們去告訴希西迦，偉大的亞述王說，『你憑什麼這樣自信呢？

拉伯沙基對他們說：“你們要對希西家說：‘亞述大王這樣說：你所倚賴的這種防禦算是甚麼呢？

參謀長對他們說：『你們去對希西家說：「大王亞述王這麼說：你所倚靠的這種倚靠心算得了甚麼？

拉伯沙基謂之曰、其告希西家曰、大王亞述王云、爾所恃者何耶、

臘沙基曰、爾當告希西家、亞述大王云、爾誰恃、

拉伯沙基謂之曰、爾曹告希西家曰、亞述大王如是云、爾何所恃耶、

The field commander said to them,“ Tell Hezekiah:“‘ This is what the great king, the king of Assyria, says: On what are you basing this confidence of yours?

The field commander said to them,“ Give Hezekiah this message. Tell him,“‘ Sennacherib is the great king of Assyria. He says,“ Why are you putting your faith in what your king says?

And the Rabshakeh said to them,“ Say to Hezekiah,‘ Thus says the great king, the king of Assyria: On what do you rest this trust of yours?

Then the Assyrian king’s chief of staff told them to give this message to Hezekiah:“ This is what the great king of Assyria says: What are you trusting in that makes you so confident?

Then the royal spokesman said to them,“ Tell Hezekiah this is what the great king, the king of Assyria, says:‘ What are you relying on?

And Rabshakeh said to them,“ Say now to Hezekiah,‘ This is what the great king, the king of Assyria says:“ What is this confidence that you have?

Then the Rabshakeh said to them,“ Say now to Hezekiah,‘ Thus says the great king, the king of Assyria:“ What confidence is this in which you trust?

And Rabshakeh said unto them, Say ye now to Hezekiah, Thus saith the great king, the king of Assyria, What confidence is this wherein thou trustest?

Then the Rabshakeh said to them,“ Tell Hezekiah this is what the great king, the king of Assyria, says:‘ What are you relying on?

And Rabshakeh said unto them, Speak ye now to Hezekiah, Thus saith the great king, the king of Assyria, What confidence[ is] this wherein thou trustest?

The chief adviser said to them,“ Tell Hezekiah:‘ This is what the great king, the king of Assyria, says:“ What is your source of confidence?

Rabshakeh said to them,“ Say now to Hezekiah,‘ The great king, the king of Assyria, says,“ What confidence is this in which you trust?

亚述的将军对他们说：“你们去告诉希西迦，伟大的亚述王说，‘你凭什么这样自信呢？

我祖先所灭的列国中，有哪国的神明能从我手中救自己的国民呢？难道你们的上帝能从我手中救你们吗？所以，不要让希西迦欺骗、迷惑你们，也不要相信他！任何民族或国家的神明都不能从我和我祖先手中救他的人民，何况你们的上帝呢？’”亚述王的使者还用别的话毁谤耶和华上帝和祂的仆人希西迦。

“你们要刚强勇敢，不要在亚述王和他的大军面前恐惧惊慌，因为与我们同在的比与他同在的更有能力。那与他同在的只是血肉之躯，与我们同在的却是我们的上帝耶和华，祂必帮助我们，为我们作战。”众人因犹大王希西迦的这番话而得到鼓舞。

他说，‘我的臣仆都要做藩王！迦勒挪岂不是和迦基米施一样吗？哈马岂不是和亚珥拔一样吗？撒玛利亚岂不是和大马士革一样吗？它们不是都被我征服了吗？这些国家都在我的手中，他们雕刻的偶像不胜过耶路撒冷和撒玛利亚的偶像吗？我怎样毁灭撒玛利亚和它的偶像，也必怎样毁灭耶路撒冷和它的偶像。’”主完成在锡安山和耶路撒冷要做的事后，必惩罚心里狂妄、眼目高傲的亚述王。因为亚述王说：“我靠自己的力量和智慧成就了此事，因为我很聪明。我废除列国的疆界，掳掠他们的财物，像勇士一样征服他们的君王。我夺取列国的财物，好像探囊取物；我征服天下，不过是手到擒来；无人反抗，无人吭声。”

哈马王、亚珥拔王、西法瓦音城的王、希拿王和以瓦王如今在哪里呢？”

世人啊！你们把我的荣耀变为羞辱要到何时呢？你们追求虚谎之事要到何时呢？（细拉）

“不要让你所倚靠的上帝愚弄你，说什么耶路撒冷必不会被亚述王攻陷。

“不要让你所倚靠的上帝愚弄你，说什么耶路撒冷必不会落在亚述王手中。

也许你会说，‘我们倚靠我们的上帝耶和华。’希西迦不是拆除了祂的庙宇和祭坛，又吩咐犹大和耶路撒冷的人要在耶路撒冷的祭坛前敬拜祂吗？

说：“这宏伟的巴比伦岂不是我用大能建立为京都，以显我的威严和荣耀吗？”

也许你说，‘我们倚靠我们的上帝耶和华。’希西迦不是拆毁了祂的庙宇和祭坛，又吩咐犹大和耶路撒冷的人只能在这座祭坛前敬拜吗？

王说，‘你们不要被希西迦欺骗，他不能从我手中救你们。不要听希西迦的话去倚靠耶和华，说什么耶和华必拯救你们，这城必不会落在亚述王手中。’

“亚述王西拿基立这样说，‘你们仍然留在被困的耶路撒冷，究竟倚仗什么呢？希西迦说你们的上帝耶和华会从亚述王手中拯救你们，难道你们不知道这是哄骗你们的话，是要叫你们留在这里饥渴至死吗？
