希西家乎、必有其徵、今歲食田所自生者、明年食其所復生者、迨及三年、可稼可穡、植葡萄園、而食其果、

今歲不耕而稔者、為斯民所食、明年亦然、至於三年、可稼可穡、栽植葡萄園、而食其果、既遇斯事、可以為徵。

希西家乎、今我示爾一事、可以為徵、今年斯民必食不種而生之穀、明年亦食自生之穀、第三年乃可稼可穡、栽植葡萄園而食其果、

“ This will be the sign for you, Hezekiah:“ This year you will eat what grows by itself, and the second year what springs from that. But in the third year sow and reap, plant vineyards and eat their fruit.

The Lord said,“ Hezekiah, here is a miraculous sign for you.“ This year you will eat what grows by itself. In the second year you will eat what grows from that. But in the third year you will plant your crops and gather them in. You will plant your grapevines and eat their fruit.

“ And this shall be the sign for you: this year eat what grows of itself, and in the second year what springs of the same. Then in the third year sow and reap and plant vineyards, and eat their fruit.

Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah,“ Here is the proof that what I say is true:“ This year you will eat only what grows up by itself, and next year you will eat what springs up from that. But in the third year you will plant crops and harvest them; you will tend vineyards and eat their fruit.

“ This will be the sign for you: This year you will eat what grows on its own, and in the second year what grows from that. But in the third year sow and reap, plant vineyards and eat their fruit.

‘ Then this shall be the sign for you: you will eat this year what grows of itself, in the second year what grows by itself, and in the third year sow, harvest, plant vineyards, and eat their fruit.

‘ This shall be a sign to you:‘ You shall eat this year such as grows of itself, And in the second year what springs from the same; Also in the third year sow and reap, Plant vineyards and eat the fruit of them.

And this shall be the sign unto thee: ye shall eat this year that which groweth of itself, and in the second year that which springeth of the same; and in the third year sow ye, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruit thereof.

“ This will be the sign for you: This year you will eat what grows on its own, and in the second year what grows from that. But in the third year sow and reap, plant vineyards and eat their fruit.

And this[ shall be] a sign unto thee, Ye shall eat this year such things as grow of themselves, and in the second year that which springeth of the same; and in the third year sow ye, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruits thereof.

This will be your confirmation that I have spoken the truth: This year you will eat what grows wild, and next year what grows on its own from that. But in the third year you will plant seed and harvest crops; you will plant vines and consume their produce.

“ This will be the sign to you: This year, you will eat that which grows of itself, and in the second year that which springs from that; and in the third year sow, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat its fruit.

Hezekiah had asked Isaiah,“ What will be the sign that the Lord will heal me and that I will go up to the temple of the Lord on the third day from now?”Isaiah answered,“ This is the Lord’s sign to you that the Lord will do what he has promised: Shall the shadow go forward ten steps, or shall it go back ten steps?” (niv)

And God said,“ I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.” (niv)

You may ask,“ What will we eat in the seventh year if we do not plant or harvest our crops?”I will send you such a blessing in the sixth year that the land will yield enough for three years.While you plant during the eighth year, you will eat from the old crop and will continue to eat from it until the harvest of the ninth year comes in. (niv)

This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” (niv)

“‘ And what happens to your two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, will be a sign to you— they will both die on the same day. (niv)

“ Ask the Lord your God for a sign, whether in the deepest depths or in the highest heights.”But Ahaz said,“ I will not ask; I will not put the Lord to the test.”Then Isaiah said,“ Hear now, you house of David! Is it not enough to try the patience of humans? Will you try the patience of my God also?Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. (niv)

But in the seventh year the land is to have a year of sabbath rest, a sabbath to the Lord. Do not sow your fields or prune your vineyards.Do not reap what grows of itself or harvest the grapes of your untended vines. The land is to have a year of rest. (niv)

This is the word that the Lord has spoken against him:“‘ Virgin Daughter Zion despises you and mocks you. Daughter Jerusalem tosses her head as you flee. (niv)

For out of Jerusalem will come a remnant, and out of Mount Zion a band of survivors.“ The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.“ Therefore this is what the Lord says concerning the king of Assyria:“‘ He will not enter this city or shoot an arrow here. He will not come before it with shield or build a siege ramp against it.By the way that he came he will return; he will not enter this city, declares the Lord.I will defend this city and save it, for my sake and for the sake of David my servant.’” (niv)
