And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.

“ You have asked a difficult thing,” Elijah said,“ yet if you see me when I am taken from you, it will be yours— otherwise, it will not.”

“ You have asked me for something that’s very hard to do,” Elijah said.“ But suppose you see me when I’m taken away from you. Then you will receive what you have asked for. If you don’t see me, you won’t receive it.”

And he said,“ You have asked a hard thing; yet, if you see me as I am being taken from you, it shall be so for you, but if you do not see me, it shall not be so.”

“ You have asked a difficult thing,” Elijah replied.“ If you see me when I am taken from you, then you will get your request. But if not, then you won’t.”

Elijah replied,“ You have asked for something difficult. If you see me being taken from you, you will have it. If not, you won’t.”

He said,“ You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so.”

So he said,“ You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so.”

Elijah replied,“ You have asked for something difficult. If you see me being taken from you, you will have it. If not, you won’t.”

And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing:[ nevertheless], if thou see me[ when I am] taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be[ so].

Elijah replied,“ That’s a difficult request! If you see me taken from you, may it be so, but if you don’t, it will not happen.”

He said,“ You have asked a hard thing. If you see me when I am taken from you, it will be so for you; but if not, it will not be so.”

And when he had said these things, as they were looking, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.And while they were looking stedfastly into heaven as he went, behold two men stood by them in white apparel;

Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be made full.

And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou taken up and cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that what he saith cometh to pass; he shall have it.Therefore I say unto you, All things whatsoever ye pray and ask for, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariots of Israel and the horsemen thereof! And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.
