Elisha saw this and cried out,“ My father! My father! The chariots and horsemen of Israel!” And Elisha saw him no more. Then he took hold of his garment and tore it in two.

Elisha saw it and cried out to Elijah,“ My father! You are like a father to me! You, Elijah, are the true chariots and horsemen of Israel!” Elisha didn’t see Elijah anymore. Then Elisha took hold of his own garment and tore it in two.

And Elisha saw it and he cried,“ My father, my father! The chariots of Israel and its horsemen!” And he saw him no more. Then he took hold of his own clothes and tore them in two pieces.

Elisha saw it and cried out,“ My father! My father! I see the chariots and charioteers of Israel!” And as they disappeared from sight, Elisha tore his clothes in distress.

As Elisha watched, he kept crying out,“ My father, my father, the chariots and horsemen of Israel!” When he could see him no longer, he took hold of his own clothes, tore them in two,

以利沙得了致命的病，以色列王約阿施下來看他，伏在他臉上哭泣，說：「我父啊！我父啊！以色列的戰車和騎兵啊！」

亞摩斯的兒子以賽亞就差人去見希西家，說：「耶和華－以色列的神如此說，你因亞述王西拿基立的事向我祈求，

除了從天降下的人子，沒有人升過天。

眾天使離開他們，升天去了。牧羊人彼此說：「我們往伯利恆去，看看所成的事，就是主所告訴我們的。」

其實，我們在這帳篷裏的人勞苦嘆息，並不是願意脫下地上的帳篷，而是願意穿上天上的居所，好使這必死的被生命吞滅了。

主耶穌和他們說完了話以後，被接到天上，坐在神的右邊。

正祝福的時候，他離開他們，被帶到天上去了。

所以有話說：「他升上高天的時候，擄掠了俘虜，將各樣的恩賜賞給人。」

義人死亡，無人放在心上；虔誠的人被接去，無人理解；義人被接去，以免禍患。行為正直的人進入平安，得以在床上安歇。

誰升天又降下來？誰聚風在手掌中？誰包水在衣服裏？誰立定地的四極？他名叫甚麼？他兒子名叫甚麼？你知道嗎？

希西家向耶和華禱告說：

約伯就起來，撕裂外袍，剃了頭，俯伏在地敬拜，說：「我赤身出於母胎，也必赤身歸回；賞賜的是耶和華，收取的也是耶和華。耶和華的名是應當稱頌的。」

有些虔誠的人把司提反埋葬了，為他大大哀哭。

說了這些話，他們正看的時候，他被接上升，有一朵雲彩從他們眼前把他接去。

我們在這帳篷裏嘆息，渴望得到那從天上來的居所，好像穿上衣服；

兩位先知聽見有大聲音從天上對他們說：「上這裏來。」他們就駕着雲上了天，他們的仇敵也看見了。

因正直人的祝福，城必升高；因邪惡人的口，它必傾覆。

或許耶和華－你的神聽見亞述將軍的話，就是他主人亞述王差他來辱罵永生神的話，耶和華－你的神就斥責所聽見的這些話。求你為倖存的餘民揚聲禱告。』」

不是無辜的人，神尚且要搭救他；他必因你手中的清潔得蒙拯救。」

我就說，智慧勝過勇力；然而那貧窮人的智慧被人藐視，他的話也無人聽從。寧可聽智慧人安靜的話語，不聽掌權者在愚昧人中的喊聲。智慧勝過打仗的兵器；但一個罪人能敗壞許多善事。

智慧使擁有智慧的人比城中十個官長更有能力。

說：『保羅，不要害怕，你必定站在凱撒面前；並且神已把安全賜給與你同船的人了。』
