The company of the prophets from Jericho, who were watching, said,“ The spirit of Elijah is resting on Elisha.” And they went to meet him and bowed to the ground before him.

The group of prophets from Jericho were watching. They said,“ The spirit of Elijah has been given to Elisha.” They went over to Elisha. They bowed down to him with their faces toward the ground.

Now when the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho saw him opposite them, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” And they came to meet him and bowed to the ground before him.

When the group of prophets from Jericho saw from a distance what happened, they exclaimed,“ Elijah’s spirit rests upon Elisha!” And they went to meet him and bowed to the ground before him.

When the sons of the prophets from Jericho who were observing saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” They came to meet him and bowed down to the ground in front of him.

Now when the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho opposite him saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah has settled on Elisha.” And they came to meet him and bowed down to the ground before him.

Now when the sons of the prophets who were from Jericho saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” And they came to meet him, and bowed to the ground before him.

And when the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho over against him saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

When the sons of the prophets from Jericho who were facing him saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” They came to meet him and bowed down to the ground in front of him.

And when the sons of the prophets which[ were] to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

When the members of the prophetic guild in Jericho, who were standing at a distance, saw him do this, they said,“ The spirit that energized Elijah rests upon Elisha.” They went to meet him and bowed down to the ground before him.

When the sons of the prophets who were at Jericho facing him saw him, they said,“ The spirit of Elijah rests on Elisha.” They came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.

「但我要從父那裏差保惠師來，就是從父出來的那真理的靈，他來的時候要為我作見證。你們也要作見證，因為你們從起初就與我同在。」

耶和華說：「這就是我與他們所立的約：我加給你的靈，傳給你的話，必不離你的口，也不離你後裔與你後裔之後裔的口，從今直到永遠；這是耶和華說的。」

但聖靈降臨在你們身上，你們就必得着能力，並要在耶路撒冷、猶太全地和撒瑪利亞，直到地極，作我的見證。」

有個先知門徒的妻子哀求以利沙說：「你的僕人，我丈夫死了，他敬畏耶和華是你所知道的。現在有債主來，要帶走我的兩個孩子給他作奴隸。」以利沙對她說：「我可以為你做甚麼呢？告訴我，你家裏有甚麼？」她說：「婢女家中除了一瓶油之外，甚麼也沒有。」以利沙說：「你到外面去向所有的鄰舍借器皿，要空的器皿，不要少借。然後你回家，關上門，你和你兒子在裏面把油倒在所有的器皿裏，倒滿了就放在一邊。」

婦人就進來，在以利沙腳前俯伏於地，向他下拜，然後抱起她兒子出去了。

有五十個先知的門徒同去，遠遠地站在他們對面；他們二人在約旦河邊站住。

先知的門徒對以利沙說：「看哪，我們在你面前居住的地方，那裏對我們太窄小了。讓我們往約旦河去，各人從那裏取一根木料，在那裏為自己建造居住的地方。」他說：「你們去吧！」有一人說：「請你與僕人同去。」他說：「我可以去。」於是以利沙與他們同去。到了約旦河，他們砍伐樹木。有一人砍樹的時候，斧子的頭掉在水裏，他就喊着說：「不好了！我主啊，斧子是借來的。」神人說：「掉在哪裏了？」他把那地方指給以利沙看。以利沙砍了一塊木頭，拋在水裏，就使斧子的頭浮上來了。以利沙說：「拿起來吧！」那人就伸手拿起來了。

你們若為基督的名受辱罵是有福的，因為榮耀的靈，就是神的靈，在你們身上。

耶和華的靈必住在他身上，就是智慧和聰明的靈，謀略和能力的靈，知識和敬畏耶和華的靈。

耶和華對約書亞說：「從今日起，我必使你在以色列眾人眼前被尊為大，使他們知道我怎樣與摩西同在，也必照樣與你同在。

又將你的尊榮給他一些，好使以色列全會眾都聽從他。

他對我說：「我的恩典是夠你用的，因為我的能力是在人的軟弱上顯得完全。」所以，我更喜歡誇耀自己的軟弱，好使基督的能力覆庇我。

耶和華在雲中降臨，對摩西說話，把降給他的靈分給那七十個長老。靈停在他們身上的時候，他們就說預言，以後卻沒有再說了。但有兩個人仍在營裏，一個名叫伊利達，一個名叫米達。他們本是在那些登記的人中，卻沒有到會幕那裏去。靈停在他們身上，他們就在營裏說預言。有一個年輕人跑來告訴摩西說：「伊利達和米達在營裏說預言。」嫩的兒子約書亞，年輕時就作摩西的助手，說：「請我主摩西禁止他們。」摩西對他說：「你為我的緣故嫉妒嗎？惟願耶和華的百姓都是先知，願耶和華把他的靈降在他們身上！」

在那日，耶和華使約書亞在以色列眾人眼前被尊為大。在他一生的年日中，百姓敬服他，像從前敬服摩西一樣。

耶利哥城的人對以利沙說：「看哪，這城的地勢美好，正如我主所看見的，只是水質惡劣，地也沒有生產。」
