他竟又在永恆主殿中為外族的神築了祭壇；這殿就是永恆主曾指着說：『我必立我名在耶路撒冷』的。

He built altars in the temple of the Lord, of which the Lord had said,“ In Jerusalem I will put my Name.”

He built altars in the Lord’ s temple. The Lord had said about his temple,“ I will put my Name there in Jerusalem.”

And he built altars in the house of the Lord, of which the Lord had said,“ In Jerusalem will I put my name.”

He built pagan altars in the Temple of the Lord, the place where the Lord had said,“ My name will remain in Jerusalem forever.”

He built altars in the LORD’s temple, where the LORD had said,“ Jerusalem is where I will put my name.”

And he built altars in the house of the Lord, of which the Lord had said,“ In Jerusalem I will put My name.”

竟把他們可憎之像立在稱為我名下的殿中，來污瀆它。

亞哈斯王往大馬色去迎接亞述王提革拉毘列色，看見在大馬色的祭壇；亞哈斯王就把祭壇的樣式和模形照它一切的作法、送到祭司烏利亞那裏。祭司烏利亞就把祭壇築了起來；亞哈斯王從大馬色所送來的怎麼樣，祭司烏利亞都按怎麼樣造，等候亞哈斯王從大馬色回來。王從大馬色回來；把祭壇細看；王走近祭壇前，就上到壇上，去燻他的燔祭和素祭，又澆他的奠祭，並且將他平安祭牲的血潑在祭壇上。他又將永恆主面前的銅祭壇、從殿的前面、從新壇與永恆主的殿之間、搬去放在新壇北邊。亞哈斯王便吩咐祭司烏利亞說：『早晨的燔祭、晚上的素祭、王的燔祭和素祭、國中之民的燔祭素祭和奠祭、都要燻在大祭壇上；燔祭牲所有的血和平安祭牲的血也都要潑在這壇上；只是銅祭壇卻要給我做求問的用處。』祭司烏利亞就照亞哈斯王所吩咐的一切話去行。

永恆主對他說：『你的禱告、你在我面前所懇求的、我都聽見了；我已將你建的這殿分別為聖，使我的名永遠在這裏；我的眼我的心也必日日不斷地在這裏。

不，永恆主你們的上帝從你們眾族派中選擇了甚麼地方做立他名的所在，你們就要到那地方、訪問他的居所；

卻揀選了猶大的族派，他所愛的錫安山。他建造了他的聖所如高天，像他奠定到永遠的大地。

你只要給我造土壇，在上面祭獻你的燔祭和平安祭、你的羊和牛；凡我使人記念我名的各地方，我都要到你那裏賜福與你。

因為永恆主揀選了錫安，願意它做自己的幕所：他說：『這是我永永遠遠的安居所；我要在這裏坐着為王，因為我中意它。
