Because they have forsaken me and burned incense to other gods and aroused my anger by all the idols their hands have made, my anger will burn against this place and will not be quenched.’

That’s because the people have deserted me. They have burned incense to other gods. They have made me very angry because of the statues of gods their hands have made. So my anger will burn like a fire against this place. And the fire of my anger will not be put out.’ ” ’

For my people have abandoned me and offered sacrifices to pagan gods, and I am very angry with them for everything they have done. My anger will burn against this place, and it will not be quenched.’

諸國之神非神也、豈有易之者哉、惟我民以己之榮、易無益之物、耶和華曰、諸天歟、爾其緣此而駭愕、驚惶蕭索、我民作惡有二、我為活水之源、彼乃棄我、而自掘井、厥井破裂、不能蓄水、

錫安之罪人恐懼、不虔之輩戰慄、曰、我儕孰能與烈火同居、與不滅之火並處、

彼謂木曰、爾為我父、謂石曰、爾乃生我、且背我而不面我、惟遭患難、則曰起而援我、爾所造之神安在乎、彼若能援爾於難、則任其起而為之、猶大歟、爾神之數、等於爾邑、○

以色列人又行耶和華所惡、事諸巴力、與亞斯他錄、暨亞蘭、西頓、摩押、亞捫族、非利士之諸神、違棄耶和華、不崇事之、耶和華怒以色列人、付於非利士人、及亞捫人之手、

乃與諸族雜處、習其行為兮、事其偶像、為己網羅兮、獻其子女、以祭鬼神兮、流無辜之血、即其子女之血、以祭迦南偶像、其地為血所污兮、緣其所行自污、所為徇欲兮、於是耶和華忿怒其民、厭惡己業兮、付於異邦之手、憾之者制之兮、厥敵虐之、俾服其手下兮、

謂南林曰、宜聽耶和華言、主耶和華云、我必燃火於爾、盡焚爾木、或青或枯、其焰不滅、自南及北、灼炙眾面、凡有血氣者、必知斯火為我耶和華所燃、不得撲滅、

惟彼弗順、叛逆乎爾、背爾法律、爾之先知勸令歸爾、彼乃殺之、大干震怒、故爾付於敵手、而困苦之、窘迫之時、彼呼籲爾、爾則自天垂聽、依爾鴻慈、賜以救者、拯之於敵手、

耶和華震怒之日、彼之金銀不能救之、全地必為其憤嫉之火所滅、凡居斯土者、必猝然滅絕、

爾以誰譬我、俾能相若、以誰擬我、而得從同、人傾囊出金、權衡其銀、僱厥金工、以鑄神像、俯伏而拜、荷之於肩、攜之而往、置諸其所、使之屹立、不離其處、人或呼之、而不能應、不能拯人於難、○爾悖逆者、當記憶之、顯為丈夫、而追念焉、

禁我儕語異邦人、使之得救、常盈厥罪、而震怒盡臨之矣、○

列邦人皆問曰、耶和華何為行此於斯土、其怒若是之烈、果何故乎、人將對曰、其祖之上帝耶和華、導之出埃及時、與之立約、而彼背之、奉事崇拜他神、素所未識、耶和華亦未嘗聽其服從者、故耶和華震怒斯土、以書所載之詛加之、耶和華以氣憤、忿怒恚恨、拔之斯土、投於異邦、有如今日、

如爾不我聽、不以安息日為聖、於安息日、荷擔而入耶路撒冷門、我必燃火於其門、盡焚耶路撒冷之宮室、不得撲滅、

尚有餘木、用之造神、以為雕像、俯伏拜之、禱曰、爾其救予、蓋爾為我神也、維彼不知不思、其目障翳不見、其心蒙蔽不明、無人想念、無知識、無聰明、不云材木之半、我已焚之以火、烘餅於炭、半以炙肉食之、豈可用其餘者、而作可憎之物、俯伏以拜木榦乎、彼乃食灰、中心昏迷、使之離途、弗能自救、不知自言、我之右手所執、非虛誕乎、○

其地偶像充斥、崇拜己手所作、己指所造、賤者屈、尊者降、爾勿赦之、

以色列人行耶和華所惡、忘其上帝耶和華、而崇事諸巴力、暨木偶、故耶和華怒以色列人、付之米所波大米王古珊利薩田手、事之八年、

違棄耶和華、其祖之上帝、即導之出埃及者、而從四周諸族之神、向之跪拜、激耶和華怒、違棄耶和華、而崇事巴力、暨亞斯他錄、耶和華怒以色列族、付於虜者之手、鬻於四周之敵、使不能禦之、

爾往、率民至我所言之地、我使必為先導、然討罪之日、我必討之、

故主耶和華曰、我必傾我忿怒於斯土、在其人民牲畜、田木土產、如火之烈、焚燬不熄、○

如爾及子孫、轉而不從我、不守我所示爾之誡命典章、往事他神、而崇拜之、我必於所賜之地、拒絕以色列族、棄此為我名區別為聖之室、而不之顧、使以色列族、於列國之中、作諺語、為話柄、此室雖高、凡過之者、必駭異而嗤笑曰、耶和華曷如是待此地此室乎、則將應之曰、昔其上帝耶和華、導其列祖出埃及、彼乃棄之、歸向他神、崇拜奉事之、故降是災於彼、○

籲耶和華曰、我棄我之上帝而事巴力、獲罪於爾、耶和華諭以色列人曰、我豈未拯爾於埃及亞摩利亞捫非利士人乎、昔西頓亞瑪力馬雲人虐爾、爾呼籲我、我亦拯爾於其手、爾乃棄我、而事他神、我不復拯爾矣、爾可往籲所簡之神、爾遭難時、任其拯之、

惟彼訕笑上帝之使、藐視其言、譏其先知、致耶和華之怒及於其民、無可救治、

絕爾中之雕像柱像、使爾不復拜己手所造之物、

離棄其列祖之上帝耶和華、不遵行耶和華之道、

異邦偶像、乃銀乃金、人手所造、有口不言、有目不見、有耳不聞、有鼻不嗅、有手不挈、有足不行、喉不出言兮、造之者、賴之者、必似之兮、

耶書崙豐肥而奔踶、碩大而光澤、乃違離造之之上帝、藐視救之之磐石、崇事異族之神、以觸其忌、行作可憎之事、以激其怒、祭祀鬼魔、非是上帝、乃彼素所未識、新造初立之神、爾祖未嘗寅畏者、產爾之磐石、爾不憶之、生爾之上帝、爾乃忘之、耶和華見而憎之、因其子女干厥震怒、

蓋我怒如火燎、燒及陰府、焚燬大地、暨其出產、燃彼山基、
