Then Shaphan the secretary went to the king and reported to him:“ Your officials have paid out the money that was in the temple of the Lord and have entrusted it to the workers and supervisors at the temple.”

Then Shaphan went to King Josiah. Shaphan told him,“ Your officials have paid out the money that was in the Lord’ s temple. They’ve put it in the care of the workers and directors there.”

And Shaphan the secretary came to the king, and reported to the king,“ Your servants have emptied out the money that was found in the house and have delivered it into the hand of the workmen who have the oversight of the house of the Lord.”

Shaphan went to the king and reported,“ Your officials have turned over the money collected at the Temple of the Lord to the workers and supervisors at the Temple.”

Then the court secretary Shaphan went to the king and reported,“ Your servants have emptied out the silver that was found in the temple and have given it to those doing the work— those who oversee the LORD’s temple.”

Then Shaphan the scribe came to the king and brought back word to the king and said,“ Your servants have emptied out the money that was found in the house, and have handed it over to the workmen who have the oversight of the house of the Lord.”

So Shaphan the scribe went to the king, bringing the king word, saying,“ Your servants have gathered the money that was found in the house, and have delivered it into the hand of those who do the work, who oversee the house of the Lord.”

And Shaphan the scribe came to the king, and brought the king word again, and said, Thy servants have emptied out the money that was found in the house, and have delivered it into the hand of the workmen that have the oversight of the house of Jehovah.

Then Shaphan the court secretary went to the king and reported,“ Your servants have emptied out the money that was found in the temple and have put it into the hand of those doing the work— those who oversee the Lord’s temple.”

And Shaphan the scribe came to the king, and brought the king word again, and said, Thy servants have gathered the money that was found in the house, and have delivered it into the hand of them that do the work, that have the oversight of the house of the LORD.

Shaphan the scribe went to the king and reported,“ Your servants melted down the silver in the temple and handed it over to the construction foremen assigned to the LORD’s temple.”

Shaphan the scribe came to the king, and brought the king word again, and said,“ Your servants have emptied out the money that was found in the house, and have delivered it into the hands of the workmen who have the oversight of Yahweh’s house.”

He entrusted the letter to Elasah son of Shaphan and to Gemariah son of Hilkiah, whom Zedekiah king of Judah sent to King Nebuchadnezzar in Babylon. It said: (niv)

They called for the king; and Eliakim son of Hilkiah the palace administrator, Shebna the secretary, and Joah son of Asaph the recorder went out to them. (niv)

In the eighteenth year of his reign, King Josiah sent the secretary, Shaphan son of Azaliah, the son of Meshullam, to the temple of the Lord. He said: (niv)

Furthermore, Ahikam son of Shaphan supported Jeremiah, and so he was not handed over to the people to be put to death. (niv)

When all the Jews in Moab, Ammon, Edom and all the other countries heard that the king of Babylon had left a remnant in Judah and had appointed Gedaliah son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, as governor over them, (niv)

Ishmael son of Nethaniah and the ten men who were with him got up and struck down Gedaliah son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, with the sword, killing the one whom the king of Babylon had appointed as governor over the land. (niv)

sent and had Jeremiah taken out of the courtyard of the guard. They turned him over to Gedaliah son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, to take him back to his home. So he remained among his own people. (niv)

In front of them stood seventy elders of Israel, and Jaazaniah son of Shaphan was standing among them. Each had a censer in his hand, and a fragrant cloud of incense was rising. (niv)

Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon appointed Gedaliah son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, to be over the people he had left behind in Judah. (niv)

From the room of Gemariah son of Shaphan the secretary, which was in the upper courtyard at the entrance of the New Gate of the temple, Baruch read to all the people at the Lord’s temple the words of Jeremiah from the scroll.When Micaiah son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, heard all the words of the Lord from the scroll,he went down to the secretary’s room in the royal palace, where all the officials were sitting: Elishama the secretary, Delaiah son of Shemaiah, Elnathan son of Akbor, Gemariah son of Shaphan, Zedekiah son of Hananiah, and all the other officials. He gave these orders to Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam son of Shaphan, Akbor son of Micaiah, Shaphan the secretary and Asaiah the king’s attendant: (niv)
