Jehoiachin king of Judah, his mother, his attendants, his nobles and his officials all surrendered to him. In the eighth year of the reign of the king of Babylon, he took Jehoiachin prisoner.

Jehoiachin, the king of Judah, handed himself over to Nebuchadnezzar. Jehoiachin’s mother did the same thing. And so did all his attendants, nobles and officials. The king of Babylon took Jehoiachin away as his prisoner. It was in the eighth year of Nebuchadnezzar’s rule.

尼布甲尼撒七年、擄猶大民三千有二十三、

歲暮尼布甲尼撒王遣使臣、取王至巴比倫、虜耶和華殿之珍器、立約雅斤叔西底家、治猶大耶路撒冷、

猶大王約雅斤被擄之三十七年、十二月、二十七日、巴比倫王、以未米羅達即位、乃出猶大王於獄、

尼布甲尼撒擄諸長老、祭司、先知、庶民、自耶路撒冷、至巴比倫、亦擄約雅斤王與后、以及宦豎、暨猶大耶路撒冷方伯、木工鐵工、自耶路撒冷去時猶大王西底家、使沙番子以利亞薩、希勒家子其馬哩、往巴比倫、覲尼布甲尼撒王、先知耶利米託彼、寄書一函、自耶路撒冷達被擄之人、書曰、

巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒元年、即猶大王約西亞子約雅金四年、耶利米以猶大民間之事、得之默示者、播告於猶大人及耶路撒冷居民、曰、

當告違逆之族、云、爾知是乎、巴比倫王至耶路撒冷、虜其王公牧伯、至於巴比倫、

耶利米乃奏西底家曰、萬有之主、以色列族之上帝耶和華云、如爾出邑、歸誠巴比倫王牧伯、則爾一家生命可保、斯邑不遭焚燬。不然迦勒底人必焚此城、爾亦不能脫於其手。

猶大王約雅斤被虜之三十七年、十二月二十五日、巴比倫王以未米羅達即位、乃出猶大王約雅斤於獄、

耶和華曰、我指己而誓、爾猶大王、約雅金子約雅斤、雖為我掌中之印、亦必棄之如遺。付爾於爾所懼之敵、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、及迦勒底人手。我必驅爾、爰及爾母、至於異邦、非爾故土、在彼必死。惟爾雖欲歸而弗得。約雅斤若已毀之偶像、為人所藐視、又若器皿、不為民所娛玩、彼及子孫、已遭驅逐、至於素所未識之地曷故。耶和華三呼斯土之人、告之曰、爾眾宜聽我言、約雅斤畢生、不獲亨通、當錄其名於册、雖有子孫、不得繼大闢之位、為王於猶大。
