“ Why are you coming to me?” Elisha asked the king of Israel.“ Go to the pagan prophets of your father and mother!” But King Joram of Israel said,“ No! For it was the Lord who called us three kings here— only to be defeated by the king of Moab!”

以利沙对以色列王说：“我与你何干？去问你父亲的先知和你母亲的先知吧！”以色列王对他说：“不要这样说，耶和华招聚我们这三王，乃要交在摩押人的手里。”

以利沙对以色列王说：“我跟你有什么关系呢？去问你父亲的先知和你母亲的先知吧！”以色列王对他说：“不，因为耶和华召集我们这三王，是要交在摩押人的手里。”

以利沙对以色列王说：“我与你有什么关系？你去问你父母的先知吧！”以色列王说：“不要这样说，耶和华招聚我们三王，是要把我们交给摩押王！”

以利沙对以色列王说：“我和你有什么关系呢？去问你父亲和你母亲的先知吧！”以色列王对他说：“不要这样说，耶和华招聚这三位君王，是要把他们交在摩押人手中。”

以利沙對以色列王說：“我和你有甚麼關係呢？去問你父親和你母親的先知吧！”以色列王對他說：“不要這樣說，耶和華招聚這三位君王，是要把他們交在摩押人手中。”

以利沙對以色列王說：『你和我有甚麼關係？你去找你父親的神言人、和你母親的神言人吧。』以色列王對他說：『不；是永恆主召集了這三個王、要把他們交在摩押人手中的。』

以利沙謂以色列王曰、我與爾何與、其詣爾父母之先知、以色列王曰、不然、耶和華集此三王、欲付於摩押人手、

以利沙告以色列王曰、我與爾何與、爾父母亦有先知、可往問焉。以色列王曰、請毋言是、我知耶和華已集三王、付之與摩押人手。

以利沙謂以色列王曰、我與爾何與、可往問爾父之先知、及爾母之先知、以色列王曰、請勿如是言、主使我三王至此、欲付我於摩押人手、

Elisha said to the king of Israel,“ Why do you want to involve me? Go to the prophets of your father and the prophets of your mother.”“ No,” the king of Israel answered,“ because it was the Lord who called us three kings together to deliver us into the hands of Moab.”

Elisha said to the king of Israel,“ Why do you want to come to me? Go to your father’s prophets. Go to your mother’s prophets.”“ No,” the king of Israel answered.“ The Lord called us three kings together. He did it to hand us over to Moab.”

And Elisha said to the king of Israel,“ What have I to do with you? Go to the prophets of your father and to the prophets of your mother.” But the king of Israel said to him,“ No; it is the Lord who has called these three kings to give them into the hand of Moab.”

However, Elisha said to King Joram of Israel,“ What do we have in common? Go to the prophets of your father and your mother!” But the king of Israel replied,“ No, because it is the LORD who has summoned these three kings to hand them over to Moab.”

Now Elisha said to the king of Israel,“ What business do you have with me? Go to your father’s prophets and your mother’s prophets.” But the king of Israel said to him,“ No, for the Lord has called these three kings together to hand them over to Moab.”

Then Elisha said to the king of Israel,“ What have I to do with you? Go to the prophets of your father and the prophets of your mother.” But the king of Israel said to him,“ No, for the Lord has called these three kings together to deliver them into the hand of Moab.”

And Elisha said unto the king of Israel, What have I to do with thee? get thee to the prophets of thy father, and to the prophets of thy mother. And the king of Israel said unto him, Nay; for Jehovah hath called these three kings together to deliver them into the hand of Moab.

However, Elisha said to King Joram of Israel,“ We have nothing in common. Go to the prophets of your father and your mother!” But the king of Israel replied,“ No, because it is the Lord who has summoned these three kings to hand them over to Moab.”

And Elisha said unto the king of Israel, What have I to do with thee? get thee to the prophets of thy father, and to the prophets of thy mother. And the king of Israel said unto him, Nay: for the LORD hath called these three kings together, to deliver them into the hand of Moab.

Elisha said to the king of Israel,“ Why are you here? Go to your father’s prophets or your mother’s prophets!” The king of Israel replied to him,“ No, for the LORD is the one who summoned these three kings so that he can hand them over to Moab.”

Elisha said to the king of Israel,“ What have I to do with you? Go to the prophets of your father, and to the prophets of your mother.” The king of Israel said to him,“ No, for Yahweh has called these three kings together to deliver them into the hand of Moab.”

So the king of Israel summoned the prophets, about 400 of them, and asked them,“ Should I go to war against Ramoth gilead, or should I hold back?” They all replied,“ Yes, go right ahead! The Lord will give the king victory.”

Now summon all Israel to join me at Mount Carmel, along with the 450 prophets of Baal and the 400 prophets of Asherah who are supported by Jezebel.”

“‘ How will you do this?’ the Lord asked.“ And the spirit replied,‘ I will go out and inspire all of Ahab’s prophets to speak lies.’“‘ You will succeed,’ said the Lord.‘ Go ahead and do it.’“ So you see, the Lord has put a lying spirit in the mouths of all your prophets. For the Lord has pronounced your doom.”Then Zedekiah son of Kenaanah walked up to Micaiah and slapped him across the face.“ Since when did the Spirit of the Lord leave me to speak to you?” he demanded.And Micaiah replied,“ You will find out soon enough when you are trying to hide in some secret room!”

King Ahab of Israel and King Jehoshaphat of Judah, dressed in their royal robes, were sitting on thrones at the threshing floor near the gate of Samaria. All of Ahab’s prophets were prophesying there in front of them.One of them, Zedekiah son of Kenaanah, made some iron horns and proclaimed,“ This is what the Lord says: With these horns you will gore the Arameans to death!”

“ What should we do?” the king of Israel cried out.“ The Lord has brought the three of us here to let the king of Moab defeat us.”

“ Dear woman, that’s not our problem,” Jesus replied.“ My time has not yet come.”

“ Look,” Naomi said to her,“ your sister in law has gone back to her people and to her gods. You should do the same.”

Then he will ask,‘ Where are their gods, the rocks they fled to for refuge?Where now are those gods, who ate the fat of their sacrifices and drank the wine of their offerings? Let those gods arise and help you! Let them provide you with shelter!Look now; I myself am he! There is no other god but me! I am the one who kills and gives life; I am the one who wounds and heals; no one can be rescued from my powerful hand!

“ Son of man, these leaders have set up idols in their hearts. They have embraced things that will make them fall into sin. Why should I listen to their requests?Tell them,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: The people of Israel have set up idols in their hearts and fallen into sin, and then they go to a prophet asking for a message. So I, the Lord, will give them the kind of answer their great idolatry deserves.I will do this to capture the minds and hearts of all my people who have turned from me to worship their detestable idols.’

To an image carved from a piece of wood they say,‘ You are my father.’ To an idol chiseled from a block of stone they say,‘ You are my mother.’ They turn their backs on me, but in times of trouble they cry out to me,‘ Come and save us!’But why not call on these gods you have made? When trouble comes, let them save you if they can! For you have as many gods as there are towns in Judah.

So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now!

Go and cry out to the gods you have chosen! Let them rescue you in your hour of distress!”

They began screaming at him,“ Why are you interfering with us, Son of God? Have you come here to torture us before God’s appointed time?”

What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil? How can a believer be a partner with an unbeliever?

“ When they cry for help, I will not answer. Though they anxiously search for me, they will not find me.

“ Come, let us return to the Lord. He has torn us to pieces; now he will heal us. He has injured us; now he will bandage our wounds.
