以利沙謂其僕曰、告之云、爾既為我思慮周密、我當為爾何為、爾於王、或軍長、有所求乎、婦曰、我居於我民中、安甚、

以利沙告從者曰、爾當告婦曰、爾既為我慮之周密、我當為爾何為、或請於王、或請於軍長。婦曰、我居於民間、無不自得。

以利沙命僕曰、爾告之云、爾既為我思慮周密若此、我當為爾何為、爾於王或軍長有何所求乎、婦曰、我在我民中安居焉、

Elisha said to him,“ Tell her,‘ You have gone to all this trouble for us. Now what can be done for you? Can we speak on your behalf to the king or the commander of the army?’” She replied,“ I have a home among my own people.”

He said to Gehazi,“ Tell her,‘ You have gone to a lot of trouble for us. Now what can we do for you? Can we speak to the king for you? Or can we speak to the commander of the army for you?’ ” She replied,“ I live among my own people. I have everything I need here.”

And he said to him,“ Say now to her,‘ See, you have taken all this trouble for us; what is to be done for you? Would you have a word spoken on your behalf to the king or to the commander of the army?’” She answered,“ I dwell among my own people.”

Elisha said to Gehazi,“ Tell her,‘ We appreciate the kind concern you have shown us. What can we do for you? Can we put in a good word for you to the king or to the commander of the army?’”“ No,” she replied,“ my family takes good care of me.”

Then he said to Gehazi,“ Say to her,‘ Look, you’ve gone to all this trouble for us. What can we do for you? Can we speak on your behalf to the king or to the commander of the army?’” She answered,“ I am living among my own people.”

And he said to him,“ Say now to her,‘ Behold, you have taken trouble for us with all this care; what can I do for you? Would you like me to speak for you to the king or to the commander of the army?’ ” But she answered,“ I live among my own people.”

And he said to him,“ Say now to her,‘ Look, you have been concerned for us with all this care. What can I do for you? Do you want me to speak on your behalf to the king or to the commander of the army?’” She answered,“ I dwell among my own people.”

And he said unto him, Say now unto her, Behold, thou hast been careful for us with all this care; what is to be done for thee? wouldest thou be spoken for to the king, or to the captain of the host? And she answered, I dwell among mine own people.

He said to him,“ Say now to her,‘ Behold, you have cared for us with all this care. What is to be done for you? Would you like to be spoken for to the king, or to the captain of the army?’” She answered,“ I dwell among my own people.”

“ Anyone who welcomes you welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me.Whoever welcomes a prophet as a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and whoever welcomes a righteous person as a righteous person will receive a righteous person’s reward.And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.” (niv)

May the Lord show mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, because he often refreshed me and was not ashamed of my chains.On the contrary, when he was in Rome, he searched hard for me until he found me.May the Lord grant that he will find mercy from the Lord on that day! Can I tell the difference between what is enjoyable and what is not? Can your servant taste what he eats and drinks? Can I still hear the voices of male and female singers? Why should your servant be an added burden to my lord the king?Your servant will cross over the Jordan with the king for a short distance, but why should the king reward me in this way?Let your servant return, that I may die in my own town near the tomb of my father and mother. But here is your servant Kimham. Let him cross over with my lord the king. Do for him whatever you wish.”The king said,“ Kimham shall cross over with me, and I will do for him whatever you wish. He told them:“ Take nothing for the journey— no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra shirt.Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that town.If people do not welcome you, leave their town and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.” (niv)

So a man from Bethlehem in Judah, together with his wife and two sons, went to live for a while in the country of Moab.The man’s name was Elimelek, his wife’s name was Naomi, and the names of his two sons were Mahlon and Kilion. They were Ephrathites from Bethlehem, Judah. And they went to Moab and lived there.Now Elimelek, Naomi’s husband, died, and she was left with her two sons.They married Moabite women, one named Orpah and the other Ruth. After they had lived there about ten years, (niv)

At the end of the seven years she came back from the land of the Philistines and went to appeal to the king for her house and land.The king was talking to Gehazi, the servant of the man of God, and had said,“ Tell me about all the great things Elisha has done.”Just as Gehazi was telling the king how Elisha had restored the dead to life, the woman whose son Elisha had brought back to life came to appeal to the king for her house and land. Gehazi said,“ This is the woman, my lord the king, and this is her son whom Elisha restored to life.”The king asked the woman about it, and she told him. Then he assigned an official to her case and said to him,“ Give back everything that belonged to her, including all the income from her land from the day she left the country until now.” (niv)

The Lord will repay him for the blood he shed, because without my father David knowing it he attacked two men and killed them with the sword. Both of them— Abner son of Ner, commander of Israel’s army, and Amasa son of Jether, commander of Judah’s army— were better men and more upright than he. (niv)
