以利沙说：“我指着我所事奉永活的耶和华起誓，我决不收取任何礼物。”乃缦再三促请他接受，都被他拒绝。

曰、我指所事之永生主而誓、我必不受、乃縵促之、以利沙決然不受、

The prophet answered,“ As surely as the Lord lives, whom I serve, I will not accept a thing.” And even though Naaman urged him, he refused.

The prophet answered,“ I serve the Lord. You can be sure that he lives. And you can be just as sure that I won’t accept a gift from you.” Even though Naaman begged him to take it, Elisha wouldn’t.

But he said,“ As the Lord lives, before whom I stand, I will receive none.” And he urged him to take it, but he refused.

But Elisha replied,“ As surely as the Lord lives, whom I serve, I will not accept any gifts.” And though Naaman urged him to take the gift, Elisha refused.

But Elisha said,“ As the LORD lives, in whose presence I stand, I will not accept it.” Naaman urged him to accept it, but he refused.

But he said,“ As surely as the Lord lives, before whom I stand, I will accept nothing.” And he urged him to accept it, but he refused.

But he said,“ As the Lord lives, before whom I stand, I will receive nothing.” And he urged him to take it, but he refused.

But he said, As Jehovah liveth, before whom I stand, I will receive none. And he urged him to take it; but he refused.

But Elisha said,“ As the Lord lives, I stand before Him. I will not accept it.” Naaman urged him to accept it, but he refused.

But he said,[ As] the LORD liveth, before whom I stand, I will receive none. And he urged him to take[ it]; but he refused.

But Elisha replied,“ As certainly as the LORD lives( whom I serve), I will take nothing from you.” Naaman insisted that he take it, but he refused.

But he said,“ As Yahweh lives, before whom I stand, I will receive none.” He urged him to take it; but he refused.

Elisha said,“ As surely as the Lord Almighty lives, whom I serve, if I did not have respect for the presence of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, I would not pay any attention to you. (niv)

Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God, said to himself,“ My master was too easy on Naaman, this Aramean, by not accepting from him what he brought. As surely as the Lord lives, I will run after him and get something from him.” (niv)

But Elisha said to him,“ Was not my spirit with you when the man got down from his chariot to meet you? Is this the time to take money or to accept clothes— or olive groves and vineyards, or flocks and herds, or male and female slaves? (niv)

Now Elijah the Tishbite, from Tishbe in Gilead, said to Ahab,“ As the Lord, the God of Israel, lives, whom I serve, there will be neither dew nor rain in the next few years except at my word.” (niv)

Then Daniel answered the king,“ You may keep your gifts for yourself and give your rewards to someone else. Nevertheless, I will read the writing for the king and tell him what it means. (niv)

But Abram said to the king of Sodom,“ With raised hand I have sworn an oath to the Lord, God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth,that I will accept nothing belonging to you, not even a thread or the strap of a sandal, so that you will never be able to say,‘ I made Abram rich.’ (niv)

Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give. (niv)

“ I have the right to do anything,” you say— but not everything is beneficial.“ I have the right to do anything”— but I will not be mastered by anything. (niv)

Now I am ready to visit you for the third time, and I will not be a burden to you, because what I want is not your possessions but you. After all, children should not have to save up for their parents, but parents for their children. (niv)

Elijah said,“ As the Lord Almighty lives, whom I serve, I will surely present myself to Ahab today.” (niv)

And when I was with you and needed something, I was not a burden to anyone, for the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied what I needed. I have kept myself from being a burden to you in any way, and will continue to do so.As surely as the truth of Christ is in me, nobody in the regions of Achaia will stop this boasting of mine. (niv)

When Simon saw that the Spirit was given at the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them moneyand said,“ Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”Peter answered:“ May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money! I have not coveted anyone’s silver or gold or clothing.You yourselves know that these hands of mine have supplied my own needs and the needs of my companions.In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said:‘ It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” (niv)
