以利沙对他说：“那人下车转回迎你的时候，我的心岂没有去呢？这岂是受银子、衣裳、买橄榄园、葡萄园、牛羊、仆婢的时候呢？

以利沙对他说：“那人下车转过来迎着你的时候，我的心岂没有去呢？这岂是接受银子，接受衣裳、橄榄园、葡萄园、牛羊、仆婢的时候呢？

以利沙对他说：“那人下车转过来迎着你的时候，我的心岂没有去呢？这岂是接受银子，接受衣裳、橄榄园、葡萄园、牛羊、仆婢的时候呢？

以利沙对他说：“那人下车回头迎接你的时候，我的心不也在那里吗？现在岂是接受人家银子、衣服、橄榄园、葡萄园、牛羊和仆婢的时候？

以利沙对他说：“那人下车转身迎着你的时候，我的心不是和你同去吗？现在不是收受银子、衣服、橄榄园、葡萄园、羊、牛、仆人和婢女的时候。

以利沙對他說：「那人下車轉回迎你的時候，我的心豈沒有去呢？這豈是受銀子、衣裳、買橄欖園、葡萄園、牛羊、僕婢的時候呢？

以利沙對他說：「那人下車轉過來迎着你的時候，我的心豈沒有去呢？這豈是接受銀子，接受衣裳、橄欖園、葡萄園、牛羊、僕婢的時候呢？

以利沙對他說：「那人下車回頭迎接你的時候，我的心不也在那裡嗎？現在豈是接受人家銀子、衣服、橄欖園、葡萄園、牛羊和僕婢的時候？

以利沙對他說：“那人下車轉身迎著你的時候，我的心不是和你同去嗎？現在不是收受銀子、衣服、橄欖園、葡萄園、羊、牛、僕人和婢女的時候。

以利沙對他說：『那人下車轉身來迎着你的時候，我的心不是和你一同去麼？這時候哪裏是接受銀子、接受衣服、橄欖園、葡萄園、羊、牛、奴僕、婢女、的時候呢？

曰、其人下車、轉而迓爾時、我心豈不偕往乎、是時豈可受銀與衣、以購橄欖園、葡萄園、牛羊僕婢乎、

曰彼下車迓爾之時、我心非與爾同在乎。此時豈可受人所饋、或金、或衣、以售橄欖圃、葡萄園、牛羊僕婢乎。

曰、彼下車轉而迎爾時、我心豈不偕爾往乎、此時豈可受銀與衣、以購油果園、葡萄園、牛、羊、僕婢乎、

But Elisha said to him,“ Was not my spirit with you when the man got down from his chariot to meet you? Is this the time to take money or to accept clothes— or olive groves and vineyards, or flocks and herds, or male and female slaves?

But Elisha said to him,“ Didn’t my spirit go with you? I know that the man got down from his chariot to greet you. Is this the time for you to accept money or clothes? Is it the time to take olive groves, vineyards, flocks or herds? Is it the time to accept male and female slaves?

But he said to him,“ Did not my heart go when the man turned from his chariot to meet you? Was it a time to accept money and garments, olive orchards and vineyards, sheep and oxen, male servants and female servants?

But Elisha asked him,“ Don’t you realize that I was there in spirit when Naaman stepped down from his chariot to meet you? Is this the time to receive money and clothing, olive groves and vineyards, sheep and cattle, and male and female servants?

“ And my heart didn’t go when the man got down from his chariot to meet you,” Elisha said.“ Is this a time to accept silver and clothing, olive orchards and vineyards, flocks and herds, and male and female slaves?

Then he said to him,“ Did my heart not go with you, when the man turned from his chariot to meet you? Is it a time to accept money and to accept clothes, olive groves, vineyards, sheep, oxen, and male and female slaves?

Then he said to him,“ Did not my heart go with you when the man turned back from his chariot to meet you? Is it time to receive money and to receive clothing, olive groves and vineyards, sheep and oxen, male and female servants?

And he said unto him, Went not my heart with thee, when the man turned from his chariot to meet thee? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards and vineyards, and sheep and oxen, and men- servants and maid- servants?

But Elisha questioned him,“ Wasn’t my spirit there when the man got down from his chariot to meet you? Is it a time to accept money and clothes, olive orchards and vineyards, sheep and oxen, and male and female slaves?

And he said unto him, Went not mine heart[ with thee], when the man turned again from his chariot to meet thee?[ Is it] a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and oliveyards, and vineyards, and sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and maidservants?

Elisha replied,“ I was there in spirit when a man turned and got down from his chariot to meet you. This is not the proper time to accept silver or to accept clothes, olive groves, vineyards, sheep, cattle, and male and female servants.

He said to him,“ Didn’t my heart go with you, when the man turned from his chariot to meet you? Is it a time to receive money, and to receive garments, and olive groves and vineyards, and sheep and cattle, and male servants and female servants?

For though I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit and delight to see how disciplined you are and how firm your faith in Christ is. (niv)

For my part, even though I am not physically present, I am with you in spirit. As one who is present with you in this way, I have already passed judgment in the name of our Lord Jesus on the one who has been doing this. (niv)

If we have sown spiritual seed among you, is it too much if we reap a material harvest from you?If others have this right of support from you, shouldn’t we have it all the more? But we did not use this right. On the contrary, we put up with anything rather than hinder the gospel of Christ. (niv)

The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy. (niv)

In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said:‘ It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” (niv)

Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue lasts only a moment. (niv)

But the king will rejoice in God; all who swear by God will glory in him, while the mouths of liars will be silenced. (niv)

that I will accept nothing belonging to you, not even a thread or the strap of a sandal, so that you will never be able to say,‘ I made Abram rich.’ (niv)

Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give. (niv)

The prophet answered,“ As surely as the Lord lives, whom I serve, I will not accept a thing.” And even though Naaman urged him, he refused. (niv)

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away,a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak,a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. (niv)

“ None of us, my lord the king,” said one of his officers,“ but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the very words you speak in your bedroom.” (niv)

I robbed other churches by receiving support from them so as to serve you.And when I was with you and needed something, I was not a burden to anyone, for the brothers who came from Macedonia supplied what I needed. I have kept myself from being a burden to you in any way, and will continue to do so.As surely as the truth of Christ is in me, nobody in the regions of Achaia will stop this boasting of mine.Why? Because I do not love you? God knows I do!And I will keep on doing what I am doing in order to cut the ground from under those who want an opportunity to be considered equal with us in the things they boast about. (niv)

I have not coveted anyone’s silver or gold or clothing. (niv)

Peter said to her,“ How could you conspire to test the Spirit of the Lord? Listen! The feet of the men who buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out also.” (niv)

nor did we eat anyone’s food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you.We did this, not because we do not have the right to such help, but in order to offer ourselves as a model for you to imitate. (niv)
