And while he was still talking with them, there was the messenger, coming down to him; and then the king said,“ Surely this calamity is from the Lord; why should I wait for the Lord any longer?”

While he was still talking to them, the messenger came down to him. The king said,“ This disaster is from the Lord. Why should I wait for the Lord any longer?”

Elisha was still talking to the elders when the messenger came down to him. The king also arrived. He said,“ The Lord has sent this horrible trouble on us. Why should I wait any longer for him to help us?”

And while he was still speaking with them, the messenger came down to him and said,“ This trouble is from the Lord! Why should I wait for the Lord any longer?”

While Elisha was still saying this, the messenger arrived. And the king said,“ All this misery is from the Lord! Why should I wait for the Lord any longer?”

While Elisha was still speaking with them, the messenger came down to him. Then he said,“ This disaster is from the LORD. Why should I wait for the LORD any longer?”

While he was still talking with them, behold, the messenger came down to him and he said,“ Behold, this evil is from the Lord; why should I wait for the Lord any longer?”

And while he was yet talking with them, behold, the messenger came down unto him: and he said, Behold, this evil is of Jehovah; why should I wait for Jehovah any longer?

While Elisha was still speaking with them, the messenger came down to him. Then he said,“ This disaster is from the Lord. Why should I wait for the Lord any longer?”

He was still talking to them when the messenger approached and said,“ Look, the LORD is responsible for this disaster! Why should I continue to wait for the LORD to help?”

While he was still talking with them, behold, the messenger came down to him. Then he said,“ Behold, this evil is from Yahweh. Why should I wait for Yahweh any longer?”

Then his wife said to him,“ Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!”

They will pass through it hard-pressed and hungry; and it shall happen, when they are hungry, that they will be enraged and curse their king and their God, and look upward.

And I will wait on the Lord, Who hides His face from the house of Jacob; And I will hope in Him.

For evildoers shall be cut off; But those who wait on the Lord, They shall inherit the earth.

But stretch out Your hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will surely curse You to Your face!”

For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.

lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.

But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!”

so that, on the contrary, you ought rather to forgive and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one be swallowed up with too much sorrow.

Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.

And Cain said to the Lord,“ My punishment is greater than I can bear!

Then Moses and Aaron said to all the children of Israel,“ At evening you shall know that the Lord has brought you out of the land of Egypt.And in the morning you shall see the glory of the Lord; for He hears your complaints against the Lord. But what are we, that you complain against us?”Also Moses said,“ This shall be seen when the Lord gives you meat to eat in the evening, and in the morning bread to the full; for the Lord hears your complaints which you make against Him. And what are we? Your complaints are not against us but against the Lord.”

My soul, wait silently for God alone, For my expectation is from Him.

“ Who among you fears the Lord? Who obeys the voice of His Servant? Who walks in darkness And has no light? Let him trust in the name of the Lord And rely upon his God.

saying,“ I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.” And they said,“ What is that to us? You see to it!”Then he threw down the pieces of silver in the temple and departed, and went and hanged himself.

Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart,

And he said:“ Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked shall I return there. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord.”

The foolishness of a man twists his way, And his heart frets against the Lord.

Then Saul said to his armorbearer,“ Draw your sword, and thrust me through with it, lest these uncircumcised men come and thrust me through and abuse me.” But his armorbearer would not, for he was greatly afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword and fell on it.

You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.

And when Saul inquired of the Lord, the Lord did not answer him, either by dreams or by Urim or by the prophets.Then Saul said to his servants,“ Find me a woman who is a medium, that I may go to her and inquire of her.” And his servants said to him,“ In fact, there is a woman who is a medium at En Dor.”So Saul disguised himself and put on other clothes, and he went, and two men with him; and they came to the woman by night. And he said,“ Please conduct a séance for me, and bring up for me the one I shall name to you.”

And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory.Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues because of the pain.They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds.

Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!

Withhold your foot from being unshod, and your throat from thirst. But you said,‘ There is no hope. No! For I have loved aliens, and after them I will go.’

The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him.It is good that one should hope and wait quietly For the salvation of the Lord.

“ Therefore you, O son of man, say to the house of Israel:‘ Thus you say,“ If our transgressions and our sins lie upon us, and we pine away in them, how can we then live?”’
