He followed the ways of the kings of Israel, as the house of Ahab had done, for he married a daughter of Ahab. He did evil in the eyes of the Lord.

He followed the ways of the kings of Israel, just as the royal family of Ahab had done. In fact, he married a daughter of Ahab. Jehoram did what was evil in the sight of the Lord.

亞哈謝乃以色列族王暗利之女孫、亞大利所出、年二十有二即位於耶路撒冷、僅歷一年。

昔我滅撒馬利亞、及亞哈家、亦必循此準繩、滅耶路撒冷、必行拂拭、如人拭盤即覆之、

乃效以色列列王尤、使猶大族、耶路撒冷民、狥私欲、拜偶像、與亞哈家無異、亦因爾殺愈己之昆弟、

我知而責之、或詛、或撻、或拔其髮、使指上帝而誓、必不以女嫁異邦人、不娶其女為妻為媳、告之曰、以色列王所羅門、娶於異邦而犯罪、昔所羅門在列國中、無王可比、上帝愛之、使治以色列、然異邦之女、陷之於罪。

自昔以來、未有若亞哈、在耶和華前、惟惡是務、為其后耶洗別所慫慂、

爾必滅爾主亞哈之家、昔耶洗別殺我先知眾僕、故行殲滅、以雪其忿。亞哈全家、必淪胥以亡、在以色列族中、我必絕其所有、或僕或主、不遺一男、

約沙法財貨甚饒、極其尊榮、娶於亞哈。

行惡於耶和華前、父母有惡、尤而效之、尼八子耶羅破暗使以色列族陷罪、彼亦效其所為、服事崇拜巴力、干以色列族上帝耶和華震怒、凡其所行、皆濟父之惡也。

所羅門王、除法老女之外、內寵甚多、皆異族之女、即屬於摩押、亞捫、以東、西頓、赫人者、論及異族之人、耶和華曾諭以色列族云、爾與彼婚姻勿相通、恐其誘爾心從他上帝、然所羅門戀愛此女、娶列王之公主、充其後宮、凡七百人、外此又有嬪妃三百、咸蠱惑其心。所羅門年既老、諸妃迷眩其衷懷、使不一心誠恪、從其上帝耶和華、效父大闢所為、反從事他上帝、即西頓人之上帝亞大綠、亞捫人可惡之物密君、

及娶以色列王亞哈女為后、則效其家之所為、行惡於耶和華前。

其父希西家廢諸崇坵、馬拿西復建之、築祭壇、宗巴力、作偶像、從以色列王亞哈所為、崇拜天象、而服事焉。

行惡於耶和華前、較其父母少愈、蓋父所作巴力之像、約藍去之。然亦恆從尼八子耶羅破暗之惡、使以色列族陷罪。

暗利王之法度、爾乃恪守焉、亞哈家之愆尤、爾反則傚、與之同謀焉、故我必使爾邑荒蕪、人作怨恨之聲、昔爾為我民、後必為眾戮辱焉。

先見者哈拿尼、其子耶戶、出迓之、告曰、不義者爾反助之、憾耶和華者、爾反愛之、獨何與。耶和華震怒以此。

昔亞喇伯人軍、攻猶大營、約蘭諸長子為亂軍所殺、耶路撒冷民奉其季子亞哈謝繼位。暗利女孫亞大利所出也、年四十有二即位。改列王紀畧、即位之時、年二十有二、都耶路撒冷、惟一年、從母言、行不義、效亞哈家尤、父沒輕信母族、行惡於耶和華前、自取其戾。

爾與彼勿相嫁娶、爾女不得適其子、爾子不得娶其女、其女必使爾子不從我、反從他上帝、如是耶和華震怒、絕爾甚速。

人民繁衍於地、所育女子、其容艷麗、上帝之子見之、遂遴選焉、娶以為室。
