the king said to Hazael,“ Take a present with you and go to meet the man of God, and inquire of the Lord through him, saying,‘ Shall I recover from this sickness?’”

he said to Hazael,“ Take a gift with you and go to meet the man of God. Consult the Lord through him; ask him,‘ Will I recover from this illness?’”

Then the king said to Hazael,“ Take a gift with you. Go and see the man of God. Ask him for the Lord’ s advice. Ask him whether I will get well again.”

And the king said to Hazael,“ Take a gift in your hand and go to meet the man of God, and inquire of the Lord by him, saying,‘ Will I recover from this sickness?’ ”

And the king said to Hazael,“ Take a present in your hand, and go to meet the man of God, and inquire of the Lord by him, saying,‘ shall I recover from this disease?’”

And the king said unto Hazael, Take a present in thy hand, and go, meet the man of God, and inquire of Jehovah by him, saying, Shall I recover of this sickness?

So the king said to Hazael,“ Take a gift with you and go meet the man of God. Inquire of the Lord through him,‘ Will I recover from this sickness?’”

And the king said unto Hazael, Take a present in thine hand, and go, meet the man of God, and enquire of the LORD by him, saying, Shall I recover of this disease?

So the king told Hazael,“ Take a gift and go visit the prophet. Request from him an oracle from the LORD. Ask him,‘ Will I recover from this sickness?’”

The king said to Hazael,“ Take a present in your hand, and go, meet the man of God, and inquire of Yahweh by him, saying,‘ Will I recover from this sickness?’”

Now Ahaziah fell through the lattice in his upper chamber in Samaria, and lay sick; so he sent messengers, telling them,“ Go, inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron, whether I shall recover from this sickness.”

And the Lord said to him,“ Go, return on your way to the wilderness of Damascus. And when you arrive, you shall anoint Hazael to be king over Syria.

Then Saul said to his servant,“ But if we go, what can we bring the man? For the bread in our sacks is gone, and there is no present to bring to the man of God. What do we have?”

And the one who escapes from the sword of Hazael shall Jehu put to death, and the one who escapes from the sword of Jehu shall Elisha put to death.

And the king of Syria said,“ Go now, and I will send a letter to the king of Israel.” So he went, taking with him ten talents of silver, six thousand shekels of gold, and ten changes of clothing.

And Jehoshaphat said,“ Is there no prophet of the Lord here, through whom we may inquire of the Lord?” Then one of the king of Israel’s servants answered,“ Elisha the son of Shaphat is here, who poured water on the hands of Elijah.”And Jehoshaphat said,“ The word of the Lord is with him.” So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat and the king of Edom went down to him.And Elisha said to the king of Israel,“ What have I to do with you? Go to the prophets of your father and to the prophets of your mother.” But the king of Israel said to him,“ No; it is the Lord who has called these three kings to give them into the hand of Moab.”

And they said to him,“ There came a man to meet us, and said to us,‘ Go back to the king who sent you, and say to him, Thus says the Lord, Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are sending to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore you shall not come down from the bed to which you have gone up, but you shall surely die.’”

And someone said to him,“ Lord, will those who are saved be few?” And he said to them,

Then he brought them out and said,“ Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

At that time Abijah the son of Jeroboam fell sick.And Jeroboam said to his wife,“ Arise, and disguise yourself, that it not be known that you are the wife of Jeroboam, and go to Shiloh. Behold, Ahijah the prophet is there, who said of me that I should be king over this people.Take with you ten loaves, some cakes, and a jar of honey, and go to him. He will tell you what shall happen to the child.”Jeroboam’s wife did so. She arose and went to Shiloh and came to the house of Ahijah. Now Ahijah could not see, for his eyes were dim because of his age.
