The prophet Elisha summoned a man from the company of the prophets and said to him,“ Tuck your cloak into your belt, take this flask of olive oil with you and go to Ramoth Gilead.

Elisha the prophet sent for a man from the group of the prophets. Elisha said to him,“ Tuck your coat into your belt. Take this bottle of olive oil with you. Go to Ramoth Gilead.

Then Elisha the prophet called one of the sons of the prophets and said to him,“ Tie up your garments, and take this flask of oil in your hand, and go to Ramoth-gilead.

Meanwhile, Elisha the prophet had summoned a member of the group of prophets.“ Get ready to travel,” he told him,“ and take this flask of olive oil with you. Go to Ramoth gilead,

The prophet Elisha called one of the sons of the prophets and said,“ Tuck your mantle under your belt, take this flask of oil with you, and go to Ramoth-gilead.

Elisha the prophet called one of the sons of the prophets, and said to him,“ Put your belt on your waist, take this vial of oil in your hand, and go to Ramoth Gilead.

他與亞哈的兒子約蘭同往基列的拉末去，與亞蘭王哈薛交戰。亞蘭人打傷了約蘭，約蘭王回到耶斯列，醫治在拉末與亞蘭王哈薛打仗時，被亞蘭人擊打所受的傷。約蘭的兒子猶大王亞哈謝因為亞哈的兒子約蘭病了，就下到耶斯列看望他。

撒督祭司從帳幕中取了盛膏油的角來，膏所羅門。他們就吹角，眾百姓都說：「所羅門王萬歲！」

耶和華的手按在以利亞身上，他就束上腰，奔在亞哈前頭，一路到耶斯列。

所以你當束腰，起來，將我所吩咐你的一切話都告訴他們；不要因他們驚惶，免得我使你在他們面前驚惶。

所以，要準備好你們的心，謹慎自守，專心盼望耶穌基督顯現的時候帶給你們的恩惠。

亞哈問約沙法說：「你肯同我去攻打基列的拉末嗎？」約沙法對以色列王說：「你我不分彼此，我的軍隊就是你的軍隊，我的馬就是你的馬。」

「你們要束緊腰帶，燈也要點着，好像僕人等候自己的主人從婚宴上回來。他來叩門，就立刻給他開門。主人來了，看見僕人警醒，那些僕人就有福了。我實在告訴你們，主人會叫他們坐席，自己束上腰帶，前來伺候他們。

你們已親眼看見耶和華因巴力‧毗珥所做的。凡隨從巴力‧毗珥的人，耶和華－你的神都從你中間除滅了。

有個先知門徒的妻子哀求以利沙說：「你的僕人，我丈夫死了，他敬畏耶和華是你所知道的。現在有債主來，要帶走我的兩個孩子給他作奴隸。」

在伯特利的先知的門徒出來，到以利沙那裏，對他說：「耶和華今日要接你的師父離開你，你知不知道？」他說：「我知道，你們不要作聲。」

先知的門徒對以利沙說：「看哪，我們在你面前居住的地方，那裏對我們太窄小了。讓我們往約旦河去，各人從那裏取一根木料，在那裏為自己建造居住的地方。」他說：「你們去吧！」有一人說：「請你與僕人同去。」他說：「我可以去。」

耶和華說：『誰去引誘亞哈上基列的拉末去陣亡呢？』這個這樣說，那個那樣說。

有一個人是先知的門徒，遵照耶和華的話對他同伴說：「你打我吧！」那人不肯打他。

「現在，以色列啊，聽我所教導你們的律例典章，要遵行，好使你們存活，得以進入耶和華－你們列祖之神所賜給你們的地，承受為業。
