當主耶穌和祂大能的天使在烈焰中從天上顯現時，祂必使你們這些受苦的人和我們同得安慰，懲罰那些不認識上帝、不聽從有關我們主耶穌之福音的人。

不管別人用什麼詭計，你們都不要上當。因為那日子來臨之前，必有離經叛道的事發生，而那不法之徒，就是那註定滅亡的人也要出現。

你這樣硬著心不肯悔改等於是為自己積蓄烈怒，上帝的烈怒在祂施行公義審判的那天必臨到你。

你看見的這怪獸以前出現過，現今沒有出現，將來要從無底坑上來，然後走向滅亡。那些住在地上、自創世以來名字沒有記在生命冊上的人，都因見到這只從前出現過、現今沒有出現、將來會再出現的怪獸而感到驚奇。

天地都要消亡，但你永遠長存。天地都會像外衣漸漸破舊，你必更換天地，如同更換衣服，天地都要消逝。

「因此，等著我吧，等著我指控的那一天吧。我已決定召集列國列邦，向他們傾倒我的烈怒，我的怒火必吞噬天下。這是耶和華說的。

那些渴望發財的人卻陷入誘惑、網羅和許多愚蠢有害的慾望中，以致落入敗壞和滅亡中。

我們的上帝來臨，並非悄然無聲，祂前面有烈火燃燒，周圍有暴風怒吼。

我又看見一個白色的大寶座和坐在上面的那位。在祂面前，天地都逃避了，消失得無影無蹤。

毫不懼怕敵人的恐嚇。這清楚表明他們必滅亡，你們必得救，這是出於上帝。

所以我告訴你們，在審判之日，你們將比泰爾和西頓受更重的刑罰！

我實在告訴你們，在審判之日，他們所受的痛苦比所多瑪和蛾摩拉所受的還大！

如果某地方的人不接待你們，不聽你們傳的道，你們在離開之前要跺掉腳上的塵土，作為對他們的警告！」

此外，所多瑪、蛾摩拉及其附近城鎮的人同樣因為荒淫無度、沉溺於變態的情慾而遭到永火的刑罰。這些事都成為我們的警戒。

我告訴你們，在審判之日，人將為自己所說的每一句閒話負責，

那從前出現過、現今沒有出現的怪獸是第八個王，他是七個王之一，也要走向滅亡。
