以色列之上帝耶和華曾立鹽約、以以色列國永賜大衛、及其子孫、爾豈不知乎、乃大衛子所羅門之僕、尼八子耶羅波安、起而叛其主、無賴之匪徒糾集從之、恃強以攻所羅門子羅波安、時羅波安冲弱、不能禦之、今爾有意敵大衛子孫所治耶和華之國、爾之人數甚多、且有耶羅波安為爾所製金犢、以為神者偕爾、爾曹非逐耶和華之祭司、亞倫後裔、及利未人、為己立祭司、循異邦之例乎、凡人攜牡犢一、牡羊七而來、自為區別、則可為祭司、以奉虛無之神、至於我儕、耶和華為我上帝、我未棄之、亦有奉事耶和華之祭司、亞倫子孫、及利未人、供其役事、每朝夕獻燔祭芳品、奉於耶和華、列陳設餅於精金之几、有金燈臺與盞、每夕燃之、蓋我儕守我上帝耶和華之命、惟爾曹棄之、上帝偕我、為我首領、其祭司吹角、向爾發聲示警、以色列人歟、勿與爾列祖之上帝耶和華戰、蓋爾必不利達也、耶羅波安設伏於猶大人後、於是以色列人在前、伏兵在後、猶大人回顧、見其前後列陳、則籲耶和華、祭司吹角、猶大人號呼、是時上帝擊耶羅波安及以色列眾、於亞比雅暨猶大人前、以色列人遁、上帝付之猶大人手、
