Now, therefore, the sword will never depart from your house, because you despised me and took the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your own.’

So time after time members of your own royal house will be killed with swords. That’s because you turned your back on me. You took the wife of Uriah, the Hittite, to be your own.’

Now therefore the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised me and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.’

From this time on, your family will live by the sword because you have despised me by taking Uriah’s wife to be your own.

約押說：「我不跟你浪費時間。」趁著押沙龍還吊在橡樹上，他拿起三杆矛槍剌入了他的心臟。十個為約押拿兵器的年輕人圍上去將押沙龍殺死。

以撒子孫的邱壇必遭毀壞，以色列的廟宇必成廢墟，我要用刀攻擊耶羅波安王朝。」

王聽了十分難過，就走上城門樓去痛哭，邊走邊說：「我兒押沙龍啊！我兒，我兒押沙龍啊！我恨不得可以替你死！押沙龍，我兒啊！我兒！」

還是你藐視祂深厚的慈愛、寬容和忍耐，不知道祂的慈愛是要引導你悔改嗎？

和有夫之婦通姦的，實在愚不可及，他是自尋死路。他必挨打，受辱，他的恥辱永難抹去。

耶穌對他說：「收刀入鞘吧！因為動刀的必死在刀下。

所羅門王就憑耶和華起誓說：「亞多尼雅若不為他這樣的要求付出性命，願上帝重重地懲罰我。耶和華讓我穩穩地坐在父親大衛的寶座上，照祂的應許為我建立了王朝，我憑永活的耶和華起誓，亞多尼雅今天必被處死。」於是，所羅門王命令耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅殺死亞多尼雅。

晚上，上帝在夢中對亞比米勒說：「你的死期到了，因為你帶來的那個女人是別人的妻子。」

而是要吃整整一個月，直到肉從他們鼻孔裡噴出來，令他們厭膩。因為他們厭棄我，在我面前哭訴，後悔離開埃及。」

「一個人不能服侍兩位主人，因為他不是恨這位、愛那位，就是重這位、輕那位。你們不能又事奉上帝，又崇拜金錢。

所以，人若拒絕遵行這命令，他不是拒絕人，而是拒絕賜聖靈給你們的上帝。

押沙龍吩咐僕人說：「你們要留意，當暗嫩喝得正高興的時候，我叫你們殺他，你們就要動手。不要畏縮，要剛強勇敢！因為這是我的命令。」押沙龍的僕人就照命令把暗嫩殺了。王的眾子都起來騎上騾子逃走了。

萬軍之耶和華對祭司說：「兒子應當尊敬父親，僕人應當敬畏主人。我是你們的父親，但你們對我的尊敬在哪裡呢？我是你們的主人，但你們對我的敬畏在哪裡呢？你們藐視我的名，卻狡辯說，『我們在何事上藐視過你的名呢？』你們把污穢的食物獻在我的祭壇上，還說，『我們在何事上玷污了你呢？』你們說耶和華的桌子是可藐視的。

「所以，以色列的上帝耶和華宣告說，『我曾經應許讓你們家族永遠做我的祭司。』但現在耶和華宣佈，『這絕不可能了。尊重我的，我必尊重他；藐視我的，必遭藐視。
