耶和华如此说：‘我必从你家中兴起祸患攻击你；我必在你眼前把你的妃嫔赐给别人，他在日光之下就与她们同寝。

耶和华如此说：‘看哪，我必从你家中兴起灾祸攻击你；我必在你眼前把你的妃嫔赐给你身边的人，他要在光天化日下与你的妃嫔同寝。

耶和华说，‘我要在你家中降下灾祸，我要当着你的面把你的妻妾交给你的近臣，他必在光天化日之下与她们行淫。

耶和華又曰、我必肇禍於爾家、加諸爾身、以爾妻室付於他人、為爾目擊、彼於日光之下、與之同寢、

耶和華又云、我必使惡人生於爾家、爾之骨肉奪爾嬪妃、白晝宣淫、為爾目擊。

主又如是云、我必於爾家、使起一人以禍爾、原文作我必於爾家起禍加諸爾我必聽其白晝之間、白晝之間原文作日前玷爾嬪妃、為爾目睹、

“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Out of your own household I am going to bring calamity on you. Before your very eyes I will take your wives and give them to one who is close to you, and he will sleep with your wives in broad daylight.

“ The Lord also says,‘ I am going to bring trouble on you. It will come from your own family. I will take your wives away. Your own eyes will see it. I will give your wives to a man who is close to you. He will sleep with them in the middle of the day.

Thus says the Lord,‘ Behold, I will raise up evil against you out of your own house. And I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.

“ This is what the Lord says: Because of what you have done, I will cause your own household to rebel against you. I will give your wives to another man before your very eyes, and he will go to bed with them in public view.

“ This is what the LORD says,‘ I am going to bring disaster on you from your own family: I will take your wives and give them to another before your very eyes, and he will sleep with them in broad daylight.

This is what the Lord says:‘ Behold, I am going to raise up evil against you from your own household; I will even take your wives before your eyes and give them to your companion, and he will sleep with your wives in broad daylight.

Thus says the Lord:‘ Behold, I will raise up adversity against you from your own house; and I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.

Thus saith Jehovah, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house; and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbor, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.

“ This is what the Lord says,‘ I am going to bring disaster on you from your own family: I will take your wives and give them to another before your very eyes, and he will sleep with them publicly.

Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give[ them] unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.

This is what the LORD says:‘ I am about to bring disaster on you from inside your own household! Right before your eyes I will take your wives and hand them over to your companion. He will have sexual relations with your wives in broad daylight!

“ This is what Yahweh says:‘ Behold, I will raise up evil against you out of your own house; and I will take your wives before your eyes, and give them to your neighbor, and he will lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.

You will be pledged to be married to a woman, but another will take her and rape her. You will build a house, but you will not live in it. You will plant a vineyard, but you will not even begin to enjoy its fruit. (niv)

Ahithophel answered,“ Sleep with your father’s concubines whom he left to take care of the palace. Then all Israel will hear that you have made yourself obnoxious to your father, and the hands of everyone with you will be more resolute.”So they pitched a tent for Absalom on the roof, and he slept with his father’s concubines in the sight of all Israel. (niv)

Absalom ordered his men,“ Listen! When Amnon is in high spirits from drinking wine and I say to you,‘ Strike Amnon down,’ then kill him. Don’t be afraid. Haven’t I given you this order? Be strong and brave.”So Absalom’s men did to Amnon what Absalom had ordered. Then all the king’s sons got up, mounted their mules and fled. (niv)

Absalom behaved in this way toward all the Israelites who came to the king asking for justice, and so he stole the hearts of the people of Israel. (niv)

Then Absalom sent secret messengers throughout the tribes of Israel to say,“ As soon as you hear the sound of the trumpets, then say,‘ Absalom is king in Hebron.’” (niv)

In the course of time, Amnon son of David fell in love with Tamar, the beautiful sister of Absalom son of David.Amnon became so obsessed with his sister Tamar that he made himself ill. She was a virgin, and it seemed impossible for him to do anything to her.Now Amnon had an adviser named Jonadab son of Shimeah, David’s brother. Jonadab was a very shrewd man.He asked Amnon,“ Why do you, the king’s son, look so haggard morning after morning? Won’t you tell me?” Amnon said to him,“ I’m in love with Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.”“ Go to bed and pretend to be ill,” Jonadab said.“ When your father comes to see you, say to him,‘ I would like my sister Tamar to come and give me something to eat. Let her prepare the food in my sight so I may watch her and then eat it from her hand.’”So Amnon lay down and pretended to be ill. When the king came to see him, Amnon said to him,“ I would like my sister Tamar to come and make some special bread in my sight, so I may eat from her hand.”David sent word to Tamar at the palace:“ Go to the house of your brother Amnon and prepare some food for him.”So Tamar went to the house of her brother Amnon, who was lying down. She took some dough, kneaded it, made the bread in his sight and baked it.Then she took the pan and served him the bread, but he refused to eat.“ Send everyone out of here,” Amnon said. So everyone left him.Then Amnon said to Tamar,“ Bring the food here into my bedroom so I may eat from your hand.” And Tamar took the bread she had prepared and brought it to her brother Amnon in his bedroom.But when she took it to him to eat, he grabbed her and said,“ Come to bed with me, my sister.”“ No, my brother!” she said to him.“ Don’t force me! Such a thing should not be done in Israel! Don’t do this wicked thing.What about me? Where could I get rid of my disgrace? And what about you? You would be like one of the wicked fools in Israel. Please speak to the king; he will not keep me from being married to you.”But he refused to listen to her, and since he was stronger than she, he raped her. (niv)

So I gave them other statutes that were not good and laws through which they could not live;I defiled them through their gifts— the sacrifice of every firstborn— that I might fill them with horror so they would know that I am the Lord.’ (niv)

They sacrifice on the mountaintops and burn offerings on the hills, under oak, poplar and terebinth, where the shade is pleasant. Therefore your daughters turn to prostitution and your daughters-in-law to adultery.“ I will not punish your daughters when they turn to prostitution, nor your daughters- in- law when they commit adultery, because the men themselves consort with harlots and sacrifice with shrine prostitutes— a people without understanding will come to ruin! (niv)

“‘ And if the prophet is enticed to utter a prophecy, I the Lord have enticed that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand against him and destroy him from among my people Israel. (niv)
