Why did you despise the word of the Lord by doing what is evil in his eyes? You struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and took his wife to be your own. You killed him with the sword of the Ammonites.

Why did you turn your back on what I told you to do? You did what is evil in my sight. You made sure that Uriah, the Hittite, would be killed in battle. You took his wife to be your own. You let the men of Ammon kill him with their swords.

Why have you despised the word of the Lord, to do what is evil in his sight? You have struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and have taken his wife to be your wife and have killed him with the sword of the Ammonites.

Why, then, have you despised the word of the Lord and done this horrible deed? For you have murdered Uriah the Hittite with the sword of the Ammonites and stolen his wife.

耶和華如此說：「猶大三番四次犯罪，厭棄耶和華的訓誨，不遵守他的律例；他們祖先所隨從虛假的偶像使他們走迷了，我必不撤銷對它的懲罰。

大衛派使者去把婦人接來；她來到大衛那裏，那時她的月經剛潔淨，大衛與她同寢。她就回家去了。

現在刀劍必永不離開你的家，因你藐視我，娶了赫人烏利亞的妻子為妻。』

早晨，大衛寫信給約押，交烏利亞親手帶去。他在信內寫着說：「要派烏利亞到戰爭激烈的前線去，然後你們撤退離開他，使他被擊殺而死。」約押偵察城的時候，知道敵人哪裏有勇士，就派烏利亞到那地方。城裏的人出來和約押打仗，大衛的僕人中有幾個士兵被殺，赫人烏利亞也死了。於是，約押派人去將戰爭的一切事奏告大衛，又吩咐使者說：「你把戰爭的一切事對王說完了，王若發怒，對你說：『你們打仗為甚麼挨近城呢？豈不知敵人會從城牆上射箭嗎？從前擊殺耶路比設的兒子亞比米勒的是誰呢？豈不是一個婦人從城牆上拋下一塊上磨石來，打在他身上，他就死在提備斯嗎？你們為甚麼挨近城牆呢？』你就說：『你的僕人赫人烏利亞也死了。』」使者就去，照着約押所吩咐的一切話來奏告大衛。使者對大衛說：「敵人強過我們，出到郊外攻打我們，我們把他們趕回到城門口。弓箭手從城牆上射你的僕人，射死幾個王的僕人，你的僕人赫人烏利亞也死了。」大衛向使者說：「你對約押這樣說：『不要為這事難過，因為刀劍可能吞滅這人或那人。你只管竭力攻城，將城傾覆。』你要勉勵約押。」烏利亞的妻聽見丈夫烏利亞死了，就為丈夫哀哭。居喪的日子過了，大衛派人把她接到宮裏，她就作了大衛的妻子，給大衛生了一個兒子。但大衛做的這事，耶和華的眼中看為惡。

他們若行我眼中看為惡的事，不聽從我的話，我就改變心意，不將我所說的福氣賜給他們。

流你們血、害你們命的，我必向他追討；我要向一切走獸追討，向人和向人的弟兄追討人命。凡流人血的，他的血也必被人所流，因為神造人，是照自己的形像造的。

「不可殺人。「不可姦淫。

並在欣嫩子谷使他的兒子經火，又觀星象，行法術，行邪術，求問招魂的和行巫術的，多行耶和華眼中看為惡的事，惹他發怒。

但那故意犯罪的人，無論是本地人是寄居的，褻瀆了耶和華，這人必從百姓中剪除。因為他藐視耶和華的話，違背耶和華的命令，這人一定要剪除；他的罪孽要歸到自己身上。」
