“ No, my son,” the king replied.“ All of us should not go; we would only be a burden to you.” Although Absalom urged him, he still refused to go but gave him his blessing.

Then Joab bowed down with his face toward the ground and thanked the king. Joab said,“ Today your servant knows that I have found favor in your sight, my lord the king, because the king has granted the request of your servant!”

After she and her household were baptized, she urged us,“ If you consider me to be a believer in the Lord, come and stay in my house.” And she persuaded us.

So the master said to his slave,‘ Go out to the highways and country roads and urge people to come in, so that my house will be filled.

Now at that very moment, Boaz arrived from Bethlehem and greeted the harvesters,“ May the LORD be with you!” They replied,“ May the LORD bless you!”

When the man got ready to leave, his father-in-law convinced him to stay another night.He woke up early in the morning on the fifth day so he could leave, but the girl’s father said,“ Get some energy. Wait until later in the day to leave!” So they ate a meal together.When the man got ready to leave with his concubine and his servant, his father-in-law, the girl’s father, said to him,“ Look! The day is almost over! Stay another night! Since the day is over, stay another night here and have a good time. You can get up early tomorrow and start your trip home.”But the man did not want to stay another night. He left and traveled as far as Jebus( that is, Jerusalem). He had with him a pair of saddled donkeys and his concubine.

He said,“ Here, my lords, please turn aside to your servant’s house. Stay the night and wash your feet. Then you can be on your way early in the morning.”“ No,” they replied,“ we’ll spend the night in the town square.”But he urged them persistently, so they turned aside with him and entered his house. He prepared a feast for them, including bread baked without yeast, and they ate.
