人若死了，还能复生吗？我要在劳苦的岁月中等待，直到我得释放的日子来临。

我们一生七十岁，强壮的可活八十岁，但人生最美好的时光也充满劳苦和愁烦，生命转瞬即逝，我们便如飞而去。

倘若不是故意杀人，而是上帝许可那人死在他手里，他就可以逃往我指定的地方。

彼得说：“现在我深深地明白，上帝不偏待人。

树木若被砍下，还有希望，它仍可重新萌芽，嫩枝生长不息。虽然树根在土里衰老，树干在地里死去，但一有水气，它就会像新栽的树一样发芽长枝。但人一死，就失去力量；人一咽气，就不知去向。湖水会枯竭，江河会干涸，人躺下便不再起来，到诸天不复存在，他仍不会醒来，不会从长眠中被唤醒。

大卫便对信使说：“你去告诉约押不要为这事难过，因为刀剑无情。让他只管竭力攻陷城池。要这样勉励约押。”

因为人和兽的际遇并无分别，两者都难逃一死，活着都靠一口气。人并不比兽强，一切都是虚空。两者都同归一处，出于尘土，也归于尘土。

他们派了自己的门徒跟希律党人一同去问耶稣：“老师，我们知道你诚实无伪，按真理传上帝的道，你不徇情面，不以貌取人。

既然你们称呼那位按各人的行为公正无私地审判人的上帝为父，就应该存着敬畏的心过你们在世上寄居的日子。
