When David had gone a short distance beyond the summit, there was Ziba, the steward of Mephibosheth, waiting to meet him. He had a string of donkeys saddled and loaded with two hundred loaves of bread, a hundred cakes of raisins, a hundred cakes of figs and a skin of wine.

David went just beyond the top of the Mount of Olives. Ziba was waiting there to meet him. He was Mephibosheth’s manager. He had several donkeys with saddles on them. They were carrying 200 loaves of bread and 100 raisin cakes. They were also carrying 100 fig cakes and a bottle of wine. The bottle was made out of animal skin.

When David had passed a little beyond the summit, Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth met him, with a couple of donkeys saddled, bearing two hundred loaves of bread, a hundred bunches of raisins, a hundred of summer fruits, and a skin of wine.

When David had gone a little beyond the summit of the Mount of Olives, Ziba, the servant of Mephibosheth, was waiting there for him. He had two donkeys loaded with 200 loaves of bread, 100 clusters of raisins, 100 bunches of summer fruit, and a wineskin full of wine.

When David was a little past the top, behold, Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth met him with a couple of donkeys saddled, and on them two hundred loaves of bread, and one hundred clusters of raisins, and one hundred summer fruits, and a container of wine.

大卫到了山顶，就是人敬拜神的地方。看哪！有亚基人户筛衣服撕裂，头蒙灰尘，在那里迎接他。

大卫走上橄榄山；他蒙着头，赤着脚，一边上，一边哭，所有与他在一起的人民也都蒙着头，一边上，一边哭。

扫罗家有一个仆人，名叫洗巴。有人叫他来见大卫；王问他：“你是洗巴吗？”他回答：“仆人正是。”王又问：“扫罗家还有人没有？我要以神的慈爱待他。”洗巴回答王说：“还有约拿单的一个儿子，他双脚残废了。”王又问他说：“他在哪里？”洗巴回答王说：“他在罗‧底巴亚米利的儿子玛吉家里。”于是大卫王派人去把他从罗‧底巴亚米利的儿子玛吉家里接来。扫罗的孙子，约拿单的儿子米非波设来到大卫面前，俯伏叩拜。大卫说：“米非波设！”他回答：“仆人在这里。”大卫对他说：“你不要怕，我必因你父亲约拿单的缘故，以慈爱待你，把你祖父扫罗所有的田地都归还给你；你也可以常常与我同席吃饭。”米非波设再叩拜说：“仆人算什么？你竟然眷顾我这个像条死狗的人！”王把扫罗的仆人洗巴召来，对他说：“我已经把属于扫罗，以及他全家所有的一切，给了你主人的孙子。你和你的儿子，以及你的仆人，都要替他耕种田地；你要把所收获的拿来，供他食用。你主人的孙子米非波设要常常与我同席吃饭。”洗巴有十五个儿子，二十个仆人。洗巴对王说：“我主我王吩咐仆人的一切，仆人都必遵行。”于是米非波设与大卫（按照《马索拉文本》，“大卫”作“我”；现参照《七十士译本》翻译）同桌吃饭，象是王的一个儿子一样。米非波设有一个小儿子，名叫米迦。住在洗巴家里的人，都作了米非波设的仆人。这样，米非波设住在耶路撒冷，常常与王同席吃饭。可是他的双腿都是瘸的。

君王以公正使国坚立；收受贿赂的，使国覆亡。谄媚邻舍的人，是在他的脚下张设网罗。

至于我，我要留在米斯巴，侍候那些来到我们这里的迦勒底人。你们只管收存酒、夏天的果子和油，放在器皿里，并且住在你们所占有的城中。”

我有祸了！因为我好像夏天采摘的果子，又像摘剩的葡萄，没有一挂可吃的，也没有我心所想望早熟的无花果。

有一天，耶西对他的儿子大卫说：“你拿这十公斤烘了的谷子和这十个饼去给你的哥哥们；你要跑到营里去给你的哥哥们，又拿这十块奶酪去给他们的千夫长，看看你的哥哥们平安不平安，把他们的家书带回来。”

大卫到了玛哈念的时候，亚扪族的拉巴人拿辖的儿子朔比、罗‧底巴人亚米利的儿子玛吉、基列的罗基琳人巴西莱，带来寝具、碗盆、瓦器、小麦、大麦、面粉、炒麦、豆子、红豆、炒豆、蜂蜜、奶油、绵羊和奶酪送给大卫和跟随他的人吃，因为他们说：“这些人在旷野一定又饥饿，又疲倦，又口渴了。”

耶西就牵来一头驴子，驮上饼、一皮袋酒和一只山羊羔，交给他的儿子大卫送给扫罗。

主耶和华向我显示，我就看见一篮夏天的果子。

人的礼物能为他开路，引他到大人物面前。

所有的犹大人就从被赶逐到的各地方回来，到犹大地的米斯巴去见基大利，并且收存了许多的酒和夏天的果子。

你要从那里再往前去，直到他泊的橡树那里，必遇见三个上伯特利去敬拜神的人，一个带着三只山羊羔，一个带着三个饼，一个带着一皮袋酒。

在他们附近的人，甚至以萨迦、西布伦和拿弗他利支派的人，都用驴、骆驼、骡子和牛，给他们带来了很多食物：面饼、无花果饼、葡萄饼干、酒、油和许多牛羊，以色列全境就充满欢乐。

巴西莱年纪非常老迈，已经八十岁。王住在玛哈念的时候，是他供养王的，因为他是一个很富有的人。
