As King David approached Bahurim, a man from the same clan as Saul’s family came out from there. His name was Shimei son of Gera, and he cursed as he came out.

King David approached Bahurim. As he did, a man came out toward him. The man was from the same family group that Saul was from. His name was Shimei. He was the son of Gera. As he came out of the town, he cursed David.

When King David came to Bahurim, there came out a man of the family of the house of Saul, whose name was Shimei, the son of Gera, and as he came he cursed continually.

As King David came to Bahurim, a man came out of the village cursing them. It was Shimei son of Gera, from the same clan as Saul’s family.

When King David got to Bahurim, a man belonging to the family of the house of Saul was just coming out. His name was Shimei son of Gera, and he was yelling curses as he approached.

居巴戶琳之便雅憫人基拉子示每、急與猶大人同下而迎大衛王、從之者有便雅憫人一千、又有掃羅家之奴洗巴、及其子十五人、奴二十人、皆濟約但迎王、有濟舟至、以濟王與眷屬、供王之用、王將濟河、示每俯伏於王前、曰、我主我王出耶路撒冷時、僕行悖逆、今求王毋因此罪僕、毋記憶、毋懷於心、僕知有罪、故今日在約瑟族中、特先至以迎我主我王、西魯雅子亞比篩曰、示每詛主所立受膏者、自當治死、豈可因此以免死乎、大衛曰、西魯雅二子、爾與我何與、爾今欲阻我乎、我今日始知為以色列王、今日何可於以色列人中行殺戮乎、王謂示每曰、爾必不死、王又為之發誓、○

彼必經歷斯地、經歷斯地或作飄流國中遭困苦、受饑餓、饑餓之時、必生忿怒、咒詛其君及其神、仰觀於上、俯視於地、隨在艱難黑暗、困苦晦冥、自覺見逐於陰晦之中、

任彼咒詛、有主賜福、任彼興起、必受羞辱、主之僕人必得喜歡、

王與從之之眾民困憊、至一處休息焉、○

爾心中亦勿詛王公、在寢室亦勿詛富人、因飛島必揚其聲、羽族必播其言、

無故之詛言無驗、如燕雀飛過而不見、或作無故之詛言應於本身如燕雀飛回故巢

緣其不思以施憐憫、逼迫困苦貧窮之人、逼迫心中悲傷之人、欲殺害之、既幸人受禍、願禍亦臨及其身、不願人得福、福亦與之遠離、願其被咒詛、如身被袍、咒詛如水入其臟腑、如油入其骨髓、願咒詛常臨其身、如衣之蔽體、如帶之圍腰、

因主所擊者、彼亦加逼迫、主所傷者、彼反譏誚其苦、

人為我而詬詈爾、窘逐爾、造諸惡言、誹謗爾、則爾福矣、當欣喜歡樂、因在天爾之賞大也、蓋先爾諸先知、人亦曾如是窘逐之也、○
