Then Abishai son of Zeruiah said to the king,“ Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? Let me go over and cut off his head.”

“ Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king?” Abishai son of Zeruiah demanded.“ Let me go over and cut off his head!”

「不可毀謗神；也不可詛咒你百姓的領袖。

米非波設叩拜，說：「你的僕人算甚麼，不過如死狗一般，竟蒙你這樣眷顧！」

約押和他弟弟亞比篩殺了押尼珥，是因為在基遍戰爭的時候，押尼珥殺了他們的弟弟亞撒黑。

大衛對赫人亞希米勒和洗魯雅的兒子約押的兄弟亞比篩說：「誰同我下到掃羅營裏去？」亞比篩說：「我同你下去。」於是大衛和亞比篩夜間到了士兵那裏；看哪，掃羅睡在軍營裏，他的槍在頭旁，插在地上。押尼珥和士兵睡在他周圍。亞比篩對大衛說：「神將你的仇敵交在你手裏，現在讓我拿槍把他刺透在地上，一刺就成，不用再刺他了。」大衛對亞比篩說：「不可殺害他！有誰伸手害耶和華的受膏者而無罪呢？」大衛又說：「我指着永生的耶和華起誓，他或被耶和華擊殺，或死期到了，或出戰陣亡，耶和華絕不允許我伸手害耶和華的受膏者。現在你可以把他頭旁的槍和水壺拿來，我們就走。」

加利亞的兒子約哈難和在鄉間的軍官來到米斯巴的基大利那裏，對他說：「亞捫人的王巴利斯派尼探雅的兒子以實瑪利來謀害你的命，你知道嗎？」亞希甘的兒子基大利卻不相信他們的話。加利亞的兒子約哈難在米斯巴私下對基大利說：「求你容我去殺尼探雅的兒子以實瑪利，必無人知道。何必讓他害你的命，使聚集到你這裏來的猶大人都分散，以致猶大剩餘的人都滅亡呢？」亞希甘的兒子基大利對加利亞的兒子約哈難說：「你不可做這事，你所論以實瑪利的話是假的。」

其實我沒有容許口犯罪，以詛咒要他的性命；若我帳棚中的人未曾說：『誰不以他的肉食吃飽呢？』

務要尊重眾人；要敬愛教中的弟兄姊妹；要敬畏神；要尊敬君王。
