Then Abishai son of Zeruiah said to the king,“ Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? Let me go over and cut off his head.”

Then Abishai, the son of Zeruiah, spoke to the king. He said,“ King David, why should we let this dead dog curse you? Let me go over there. I’ll cut off his head.”

“ Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king?” Abishai son of Zeruiah demanded.“ Let me go over and cut off his head!”

勿詛士師、勿詈民長。

米非波設頓首曰、僕何人斯、與已斃之犬何異、乃蒙爾眷顧若是。

大闢召赫人亞希米勒、及西魯雅子約押弟亞庇篩、曰、誰敢與我偕、至掃羅營。亞庇篩曰、我與爾偕。大闢與亞庇篩、夤夜至營中、見掃羅寢於列車之所、枕旁有戟、卓立於地、押尼耳及從者四周而卧。亞庇篩告大闢曰、今日上帝以敵付於爾手、容我擊之、釘之於地、一擊已足、毋庸再擊。大闢曰、毋加殺害、彼為耶和華沐以膏、殺之者罪毋赦。又曰、彼或為耶和華所擊、或至逝世之期而終、或沒於行伍之間、我指耶和華以誓、耶和華所沐以膏者、斷不可舉手以攻、第取枕旁之戟、及水瓶而去。

迦哩亞子約哈難至密士巴、平原之武士長亦至、見其大利。告之曰、亞捫王巴勒士遣尼大尼子以實瑪利殺爾、爾猶不知乎。亞希甘子其大利弗信。迦哩亞子約哈難在密士巴、私語其大利、曰、容我往殺尼大尼子以實馬利、必無知之者、何可待其殺己、使歸爾之猶大人四散、猶大之遺民亦亡。亞希甘子其大利告迦哩亞子約哈難曰、爾言以實馬利之事、出於妄誕、必不可行。

我不祈降災於仇、以犯罪。家之人未嘗曰、食無肉、枵腹堪嗟。
