Then said Ahimaaz the son of Zadok, Let me now run, and bear the king tidings, how that the LORD hath avenged him of his enemies.

撒督的儿子亚希玛斯对约押说：“请让我跑回去向王禀告，让王知道耶和华已从仇敌手中救了他。”

撒督的儿子亚希玛斯说：“让我跑去，把这好消息向王报告，就是耶和华已经把他从仇敌的手中拯救出来了。”

撒督的兒子亞希瑪斯說：「容我跑去，將耶和華向仇敵給王報仇的信息報與王知。」

撒督的兒子亞希瑪斯說：“讓我跑去，把這好消息向王報告，就是耶和華已經把他從仇敵的手中拯救出來了。”

撒督的兒子亞希瑪斯說：『容我跑去，報消息給王知道永恆主已經維護了正義、而救王脫離仇敵的手。』

撒督的兒子亞希瑪斯說：「請讓我跑去向王報好消息，耶和華已經救他脫離仇敵的手了！」

撒督子亞希瑪斯曰、請容我趨、以耶和華伸冤之音信報王、

撒督子亞希馬斯請約押曰、容我疾趨、以耶和華報仇之事、告之於王。

撒督子亞希瑪斯曰、我且趨、以主伸王冤、報施王諸敵之消息、告於王、

Now Ahimaaz son of Zadok said,“ Let me run and take the news to the king that the Lord has vindicated him by delivering him from the hand of his enemies.”

Ahimaaz, the son of Zadok, said to Joab,“ Let me run and take the news to the king. Let me tell him that the Lord has shown that David is in the right. The Lord has done this by saving David from his enemies.”

Then Ahimaaz the son of Zadok said,“ Let me run and carry news to the king that the Lord has delivered him from the hand of his enemies.”

Then Zadok’s son Ahimaaz said,“ Let me run to the king with the good news that the Lord has rescued him from his enemies.”

Ahimaaz son of Zadok said,“ Please let me run and tell the king the good news that the LORD has vindicated him by freeing him from his enemies.”

Then Ahimaaz the son of Zadok said,“ Please let me run and bring the king news that the Lord has freed him from the hand of his enemies!”

Then Ahimaaz the son of Zadok said,“ Let me run now and take the news to the king, how the Lord has avenged him of his enemies.”

Then said Ahimaaz the son of Zadok, Let me now run, and bear the king tidings, how that Jehovah hath avenged him of his enemies.

Ahimaaz son of Zadok said,“ Please let me run and tell the king the good news that the Lord has delivered him from his enemies.”

Then Ahimaaz the son of Zadok said,“ Let me run and give the king the good news that the LORD has vindicated him before his enemies.”

Then Ahimaaz the son of Zadok said,“ Let me now run and carry the king news, how Yahweh has avenged him of his enemies.”

Behold,[ they have] there with them their two sons, Ahimaaz Zadok’s[ son], and Jonathan Abiathar’s[ son]; and by them ye shall send unto me every thing that ye can hear.

And, behold, Cushi came; and Cushi said, Tidings, my lord the king: for the LORD hath avenged thee this day of all them that rose up against thee.

But howsoever,[ said he], let me run. And he said unto him, Run. Then Ahimaaz ran by the way of the plain, and overran Cushi.

Now Jonathan and Ahimaaz stayed by Enrogel; for they might not be seen to come into the city: and a wench went and told them; and they went and told king David.

For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; thou satest in the throne judging right.

The LORD is known[ by] the judgment[ which] he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.

The LORD shall judge the people: judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity[ that is] in me.Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.

Thou hast seen[ it]; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite[ it] with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless.

Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but[ rather] give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance[ is] mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Arise, O LORD, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me[ to] the judgment[ that] thou hast commanded.

To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more oppress.

And the watchman said, Me thinketh the running of the foremost is like the running of Ahimaaz the son of Zadok. And the king said, He[ is] a good man, and cometh with good tidings.And Ahimaaz called, and said unto the king, All is well. And he fell down to the earth upon his face before the king, and said, Blessed[ be] the LORD thy God, which hath delivered up the men that lifted up their hand against my lord the king.And the king said, Is the young man Absalom safe? And Ahimaaz answered, When Joab sent the king’s servant, and[ me] thy servant, I saw a great tumult, but I knew not what[ it was].
