押尼珥向約押喊道：「我們非要無休止地殺下去嗎？難道你不知道這樣下去必有苦果嗎？你什麼時候才命你的人停止追殺自己的同胞呢？」

押尼珥呼叫约押说：“刀剑岂可永远杀人吗？你岂不知终久必有苦楚吗？你要等何时才叫百姓回去、不追赶弟兄呢？”

押尼珥呼叫约押说：“刀剑岂可永远吞噬呢？你岂不知，结局必是痛苦的吗？你要等到何时才叫百姓回去，不追赶他们的弟兄呢？”

押尼珥呼叫约押说：“刀剑岂可永远吞噬呢？你岂不知，结局必是痛苦的吗？你要等到何时才叫百姓回去，不追赶他们的弟兄呢？”

押尼珥对约押喊叫，说：“刀剑要不停地杀人吗？你不知道结局是痛苦的吗？你要等到什么时候才吩咐人民转去，不追赶自己的兄弟呢？”

押尼珥呼叫約押說：「刀劍豈可永遠殺人嗎？你豈不知終久必有苦楚嗎？你要等何時才叫百姓回去、不追趕弟兄呢？」

押尼珥呼叫約押說：「刀劍豈可永遠吞噬呢？你豈不知，結局必是痛苦的嗎？你要等到何時才叫百姓回去，不追趕他們的弟兄呢？」

押尼珥呼叫約押說：「刀劍豈可永遠吞噬呢？你豈不知，結局必是痛苦的嗎？你要等到何時才叫百姓回去，不追趕他們的弟兄呢？」

押尼珥對約押喊叫，說：“刀劍要不停地殺人嗎？你不知道結局是痛苦的嗎？你要等到甚麼時候才吩咐人民轉去，不追趕自己的兄弟呢？”

押尼珥呼叫約押，說：『刀劍哪可永久吞滅人呢？你豈不知終久必有苦辣事麼？要等到幾時你才吩咐眾民回去、而不追趕自己的族弟兄呢？』

押尼珥向約押呼喊，說：「難道刀劍要永久吞噬下去嗎？你不知道結局將是苦果嗎？你要到什麼時候才吩咐大家轉回不追趕自己的兄弟呢？」

押尼珥呼約押曰、刃之吞人、永不已乎、豈不知終必有苦乎、民追兄弟、爾不止之、將至何時、

押尼耳呼約押曰、以刃擊人、何久不已、豈不知、及其終也、必有困苦。民追同儔、爾不止之、將至何時。

押尼珥呼約押曰、豈可任刃傷人永不已乎、豈不知終必苦乎、民追其兄弟、爾不止之、將至何時、

Abner called out to Joab,“ Must the sword devour forever? Don’t you realize that this will end in bitterness? How long before you order your men to stop pursuing their fellow Israelites?”

Abner called out to Joab,“ Do you want our swords to keep on killing us off? Don’t you know that all this fighting will end in bitter feelings? How long will it be before you order your men to stop chasing their fellow Israelites?”

Then Abner called to Joab,“ Shall the sword devour forever? Do you not know that the end will be bitter? How long will it be before you tell your people to turn from the pursuit of their brothers?”

Abner shouted down to Joab,“ Must we always be killing each other? Don’t you realize that bitterness is the only result? When will you call off your men from chasing their Israelite brothers?”

Then Abner called out to Joab,“ Must the sword devour forever? Don’t you realize this will only end in bitterness? How long before you tell the troops to stop pursuing their brothers?”

Then Abner called to Joab and said,“ Should the sword devour forever? Do you not realize that it will be bitter in the end? So how long will you refrain from telling the people to turn back from pursuing their kinsmen?”

Then Abner called to Joab and said,“ Shall the sword devour forever? Do you not know that it will be bitter in the latter end? How long will it be then until you tell the people to return from pursuing their brethren?”

Then Abner called to Joab, and said, Shall the sword devour for ever? knowest thou not that it will be bitterness in the latter end? how long shall it be then, ere thou bid the people return from following their brethren?

Then Abner called out to Joab:“ Must the sword devour forever? Don’t you realize this will only end in bitterness? How long before you tell the troops to stop pursuing their brothers?”

Then Abner called to Joab, and said, Shall the sword devour for ever? knowest thou not that it will be bitterness in the latter end? how long shall it be then, ere thou bid the people return from following their brethren?

Then Abner called out to Joab,“ Must the sword devour forever? Don’t you realize that this will turn bitter in the end? When will you tell the people to turn aside from pursuing their brothers?”

Then Abner called to Joab, and said,“ Shall the sword devour forever? Don’t you know that it will be bitterness in the latter end? How long will it be then, before you ask the people to return from following their brothers?”

「你要在埃及宣佈，在密奪、挪弗和答比匿宣告，『你們要準備戰鬥，因為刀劍要吞噬你們周圍的人。』

第二天，他看見兩個以色列人在打架，就上前勸解說，『大家都是同胞，為什麼互相毆打呢？』

因為這是主——萬軍之耶和華向敵人報仇的日子。刀劍必吞噬他們，痛飲他們的血，因為要在北方的幼發拉底河邊向主——萬軍之耶和華獻祭。

「你們要折磨我多久？用言語壓碎我到何時？

如果你們執意叛逆，就必喪身刀下。」這是耶和華親口說的。

爭端爆發如洪水決堤，當在爆發前將其制止。

「你要狡辯到何時呢？你先想清楚，然後我們再談。

押尼珥對約押說：「讓雙方的青年起來在我們面前較量一下吧。」約押說：「好啊。」

世人啊！你們把我的榮耀變為羞辱要到何時呢？你們追求虛謊之事要到何時呢？（細拉）

我還要看這旌旗、聽這號聲到何時呢？

殺戮者已來到曠野中光禿的山嶺，耶和華使刀劍橫掃全境，無人倖免。

他們各自抓住對方的頭髮，用刀刺對方的肋旁，同歸於盡。於是基遍的那個地方叫「刀田」。

大衛便對信使說：「你去告訴約押不要為這事難過，因為刀劍無情。讓他只管竭力攻陷城池。要這樣勉勵約押。」

我責打你們的兒女，卻是徒勞，因為他們不受管教。你們殺害你們的先知，殘暴如獅子。

刀劍之災要臨到他們的城邑，毀壞他們的城門，將他們吞噬，因為他們倚仗自己的計謀。
