參孫與父母偕往亭訥、至葡萄園、有穉獅哮吼以迎。參孫為耶和華之神所感、雖不執器、亦剖獅腹、如剖羊羔、不以所行告其父母、

於是祭司撒督、先知拿單、耶何耶大子庇拿雅、及劊役皂隸、俱往、請所羅門乘大闢王之騾、送之至其訓、

大闢曰、昔僕為父牧羊、有獅與熊至羊群、攫取羔羊。我追而擊之、援羔於其口、彼欲害我、我執其鬣、擊而殺之。獅與熊尚被僕所殺、此未受割禮之非利士人、既侮永生上帝之軍、亦必如是。又曰、耶和華既援我於獅熊、亦必救我於非利士人手。掃羅曰、往哉、願耶和華祐爾。

惟祭司撒督、及耶何耶大子庇拿雅、先知拿單、示每、哩以、暨大闢之武士、咸弗協從。

王命耶何耶大子庇拿雅出擊之、以斃其命、於是國祚以定、歸於所羅門。

以東諸伯必觳觫、摩押英豪必戰慄、迦南居民必喪膽。

惟臣、與祭司撒督、及耶何耶大子庇拿雅、暨爾之臣僕所羅門、俱不蒙請。

或以此事告所羅門、所羅門遣耶何耶大子庇拿雅擊之。庇拿雅至耶和華會幕、告約押曰、王使爾出。曰、否、我必死於此、庇拿雅以約押言反告於王。王曰、可如其言而行、擊而葬之、於是約押流無辜之血、其罪不歸於我、亦不歸我父之家。彼刃擊二人、較己尤善、即以色列族軍長尼耳子押尼耳、猶大族軍長益帖子亞馬撒、我父大闢不之知也、今耶和華必以是罪歸之。此罪必永歸約押、及其苗裔、惟耶和華必賜平康於大闢眷聚、爰其苗裔、至於國家永世靡暨。耶何耶大子庇拿雅遂往擊約押、殺之、葬於私宅、地鄰曠野。王使耶何耶大子庇拿雅代約押為軍長、使祭司撒督代亞庇亞塔。

伽得人歸大闢、在曠野險要之地、皆英武之士、能臨陣、執干戈、貌勇如獅、足疾若鹿、

掃羅及約拿單、生存之日、相愛相悅、雖至死亡、亦弗離逖。彼二人者疾於鷹、猛於獅。

耶何耶大子庇拿雅、統轄劊役皂隸、大闢眾子咸為牧伯。

三月之班、祭司長耶何耶大子、軍士長庇拿雅。庇拿雅統理三十傑士、其子暗米薩八、亦在班中。
