往告大衛曰、耶和華云、我以三者示爾、可擇其一、我行於爾、

往告大闢曰、三災之中、耶和華必降一於爾、使爾自擇。

迦得遂來見大衛、謂之曰、或爾國中饑饉七年、或爾遁於敵前、敵逐爾三月、或於爾國中有瘟疫三日、此三者爾何擇、今爾思而視之、明以告我、俾我歸而復命於遣我者、

“ Go and tell David,‘ This is what the Lord says: I am giving you three options. Choose one of them for me to carry out against you.’”

“ Go and tell David,‘ The Lord says,“ I could punish you in three different ways. Choose one of them for me to use against you.” ’ ”

“ Go and say to David,‘ Thus says the Lord, Three things I offer you. Choose one of them, that I may do it to you.’”

“ Go and say to David,‘ This is what the Lord says: I will give you three choices. Choose one of these punishments, and I will inflict it on you.’”

“ Go and say to David,‘ This is what the LORD says: I am offering you three choices. Choose one of them, and I will do it to you.’”

“ Go and speak to David,‘ This is what the Lord says:“ I am imposing upon you three choices; choose for yourself one of them, and I will do it to you.” ’ ”

“ Go and tell David,‘ Thus says the Lord:“ I offer you three things; choose one of them for yourself, that I may do it to you.”’”

Go and speak unto David, Thus saith Jehovah, I offer thee three things: choose thee one of them, that I may do it unto thee.

“ Go and say to David,‘ This is what the Lord says: I am offering you three choices. Choose one of them, and I will do it to you.’”

“ Go, tell David,‘ This is what the LORD says: I am offering you three forms of judgment. Pick one of them and I will carry it out against you.’”

“ Go and speak to David,‘ Yahweh says,“ I offer you three things. Choose one of them, that I may do it to you.”’”

你為甚麼藐視耶和華的命令，做他眼中看為惡的事呢？你用刀擊殺赫人烏利亞，又娶了他的妻子為妻，借亞捫人的刀殺死他。現在刀劍必永不離開你的家，因你藐視我，娶了赫人烏利亞的妻子為妻。』

「你去告訴大衛說：『耶和華如此說：我列出三樣災禍給你，隨你選擇一樣，我好降與你。』」於是，迦得來到大衛那裏，對他說：「耶和華如此說：『你可以隨意選擇：

我也行事與他們作對，把他們遣送到敵人之地。那時，他們未受割禮的心若肯謙卑，也服了罪孽的懲罰，

凡我所疼愛的，我就責備管教。所以，你要發熱心，也要悔改。

「看哪，神所懲治的人是有福的！所以你不可輕看全能者的管教。因為他打傷，又包紮；他擊傷，又親手醫治。

地被他們離棄，因他們不在而荒涼的時候，就要重享安息。他們服了罪孽的懲罰，因為他們厭棄我的典章，心中厭惡我的律例。

因為主所愛的，他必管教，又鞭打他所接納的每一個孩子。」為了受管教，你們要忍受。神待你們如同待兒女。哪有兒女不被父親管教的呢？管教原是眾兒女共同所領受的；你們若不受管教，就是私生子，不是兒女了。再者，我們曾有肉身之父管教我們，我們尚且敬重他，何況靈性之父，我們豈不更當順服他而得生命嗎？肉身之父都是短時間隨己意管教我們，惟有靈性之父管教我們是要我們得益處，使我們在他的聖潔上有份。

因為耶和華所愛的，他必責備，正如父親責備所喜愛的兒子。

只是在這事上，你大大藐視耶和華，因此，你生的孩子必定要死。」
