Now the sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad had a very large number of livestock. So when they saw the land of Jazer and the land of Gilead, that it was indeed a place suitable for livestock,

And the Lord handed them over to Israel, so that they defeated them, and pursued them as far as Great Sidon, and Misrephoth maim, and the Valley of Mizpeh to the east; and they struck them until no survivor was left to them.

Now Laban called it Jegar sahadutha, but Jacob called it Galeed.Laban said,“ This heap is a witness between you and me this day.” Therefore it was named Galeed,

Canaan fathered Sidon, his firstborn, and Heth,

Asher did not drive out the inhabitants of Acco, or the inhabitants of Sidon, or of Ahlab, or of Achzib, Helbah, Aphik, or of Rehob.

The territory of the sons of Dan proceeded beyond them; for the sons of Dan went up and fought with Leshem and captured it. Then they struck it with the edge of the sword and took possession of it and settled in it; and they named Leshem Dan after the name of their father Dan.
