Now do it! For the Lord promised David,‘ By my servant David I will rescue my people Israel from the hand of the Philistines and from the hand of all their enemies.’”

Now do it! The Lord made a promise to David. He said,‘ I will rescue my people Israel from the power of the Philistines. I will also rescue them from all their enemies. I will rescue them through my servant David.’ ”

在彼我以權勢賜大衛、原文作在彼我使角為大衛而萌為我所立之受膏王、特設明燈、必使彼之敵人蒙羞抱愧、使彼首戴冠冕、發顯榮光、

遂遣人召之來、其面赤色、雙目清秀、身材俊美、主曰、此人是也、起而膏之、撒母耳取角中之膏、膏之於其諸兄間、自此日後、主之神感大衛、撒母耳啟行、歸拉瑪、

謂撒母耳曰、爾為掃羅而憂、伊於何底、我已棄之、不容其為以色列王、今以膏盛於角、我將遣爾至伯利恆人耶西家、我於其眾子中選其一、立之為王、

然有司中多有信之、惟因懼法利賽人、不敢明認、恐見逐於會、蓋喜人之榮、過於天主之榮也、

當初主在默示中應許虔誠人云、我施恩以助英雄、我升舉民中被選者、我尋得我僕人大衛、沐以我之聖膏、我手常護祐之、我臂常堅固之、不容仇敵欺壓之、不容惡人苦害之、我必在其前擊破其敵、必攻敗憾之之人、

今爾國不永、主已得一人、合乎其心、命為己民之君、因爾不守主所諭爾之命、
