May his family never be without someone who has to use a crutch to walk. May his family never be without someone who gets killed by a sword. May it fall upon the head of Joab and upon all his father’s house, and may the house of Joab never be without one who has a discharge or who is leprous or who holds a spindle or who falls by the sword or who lacks bread!”

Joab and his family are the guilty ones. May the family of Joab be cursed in every generation with a man who has open sores or leprosy or who walks on crutches or dies by the sword or begs for food!”

May it hang over Joab’s head and his father’s whole family, and may the house of Joab never be without someone who has a discharge or a skin disease, or a man who can only work a spindle, or someone who falls by the sword or starves.”

May it turn upon the head of Joab and on all his father’s house; and may there not be eliminated from the house of Joab someone who suffers a discharge, or has leprosy, or holds the spindle, or falls by the sword, or lacks bread.”

就是得了痲瘋病，那人是不潔淨的。祭司要宣佈那人是不潔淨的。「患痲瘋病的人必須撕裂衣服，披頭散髮，遮住臉的下半部，高喊『不潔淨！不潔淨！』只要病不痊癒，他就不潔淨，要獨自住在營外。

由於他們流了眾聖徒和先知們的血，現在你使他們喝血，這正是他們應得的報應。」

這是要懲罰亞比米勒和幫他殘殺耶路·巴力七十個兒子的示劍人。

王說：「你就照他的話成全他吧，你要埋葬他，把他濫殺無辜的罪從我和我父親家清除。耶和華要讓他血債血還。因為他背著我父親殺了兩名比他良善正直的人，即尼珥的兒子以色列元帥押尼珥和益帖的兒子猶大元帥亞瑪撒。所以，殺這二人的血債必永遠歸到約押和他後代身上。願耶和華的平安永遠伴隨大衛和他的後代、他的家、他的國。」耶何耶大的兒子比拿雅就去把約押殺死，葬在曠野約押自己的墓地。

你必以羡慕的眼光看著我賜福以色列人，你家中卻永遠沒有一個老人。我不會把你家中的人從我壇前滅絕，但留下來的人必使你哭瞎雙眼、傷心欲絕。你的子孫必中年夭亡。你的兩個兒子何弗尼和非尼哈必死在同一天，這就是我言出必行的記號。我要為自己立一位忠心的祭司，他必照我的心意行事。我要賜福給他的後代，他必永遠服侍我膏立的王。那時，你家存留下來的人要在他面前下拜，乞討銀子和餅，並懇求說，請給我一個祭司的職位以便糊口！』」

因此，你和你的後代會永遠沾染乃縵的痲瘋病。」基哈西離開以利沙時，患了痲瘋病，皮膚像雪一樣白。

上帝就這樣使亞比米勒得到了報應，因為他殘殺了自己的七十個兄弟，也讓示劍人因自己的一切惡行而得到了報應。耶路·巴力的兒子約坦的咒詛臨到了他們。

乃縵是亞蘭王的元帥，甚得亞蘭王器重，因為耶和華藉他使亞蘭人打了許多勝仗。他是英勇的戰士，只是患了痲瘋病。

「你們把以下條例告訴以色列人。「如果有男人患了漏症，他下體的排泄物是不潔淨的。

那裡的居民看見毒蛇吊在保羅手上，就交頭接耳地說：「這人一定是個兇手，雖然僥倖沒有淹死，天理卻不容他活下去。」
