They brought the head of Ish- Bosheth to David at Hebron and said to the king,“ Here is the head of Ish- Bosheth son of Saul, your enemy, who tried to kill you. This day the Lord has avenged my lord the king against Saul and his offspring.”

They brought the head of Ish- Bosheth to King David at Hebron. They said to him,“ Here’s the head of Ish- Bosheth, the son of Saul. Saul was your enemy. He often tried to kill you. Today the Lord has paid back Saul and his family. He has let you get even with them. You are our king and master.”

and brought the head of Ish-bosheth to David at Hebron. And they said to the king,“ Here is the head of Ish-bosheth, the son of Saul, your enemy, who sought your life. The Lord has avenged my lord the king this day on Saul and on his offspring.”

When they arrived at Hebron, they presented Ishbosheth’s head to David.“ Look!” they exclaimed to the king.“ Here is the head of Ishbosheth, the son of your enemy Saul who tried to kill you. Today the Lord has given my lord the king revenge on Saul and his entire family!”

They brought Ish-bosheth’s head to David at Hebron and said to the king,“ Here’s the head of Ish-bosheth son of Saul, your enemy who intended to take your life. Today the LORD has granted vengeance to my lord the king against Saul and his offspring.”

Then they brought the head of Ish bosheth to David at Hebron, and said to the king,“ Behold, the head of Ish bosheth the son of Saul, your enemy, who sought your life; so the Lord has given my lord the king vengeance this day on Saul and his descendants.”

And they brought the head of Ishbosheth to David at Hebron, and said to the king,“ Here is the head of Ishbosheth, the son of Saul your enemy, who sought your life; and the Lord has avenged my Lord the king this day of Saul and his descendants.”

And they brought the head of Ish- bosheth unto David to Hebron, and said to the king, Behold, the head of Ish- bosheth, the son of Saul, thine enemy, who sought thy life; and Jehovah hath avenged my lord the king this day of Saul, and of his seed.

They brought Ish-bosheth’s head to David at Hebron and said to the king,“ Here’s the head of Ish-bosheth son of Saul, your enemy who intended to take your life. Today the Lord has granted vengeance to my lord the king against Saul and his offspring.”

And they brought the head of Ishbosheth unto David to Hebron, and said to the king, Behold the head of Ishbosheth the son of Saul thine enemy, which sought thy life; and the LORD hath avenged my lord the king this day of Saul, and of his seed.

They brought the head of Ish-bosheth to David in Hebron, saying to the king,“ Look! The head of Ish-bosheth son of Saul, your enemy who sought your life! The LORD has granted vengeance to my lord the king this day against Saul and his descendants!”

They brought the head of Ishbosheth to David to Hebron, and said to the king,“ Behold, the head of Ishbosheth, the son of Saul, your enemy, who sought your life! Yahweh has avenged my lord the king today of Saul, and of his offspring.”

虽然有人起来追赶你，寻索你的命，我主的性命必得保全在耶和华你的神生命的囊中。至于你仇敌的命，耶和华却要甩去，像从甩石机甩出去一样。

大卫惧怕，因为扫罗出来寻索他的命。那时大卫住在西弗旷野的何列斯那里。

扫罗又派人去看大卫说：“你们把他连床一起抬到我这里来，我好杀死他。”

跟随大卫的人对他说：“耶和华曾应许你说：‘我要把你的仇敌交在你的手里，你可以随意待他。’看哪！今天就是时候了。”于是大卫起来，悄悄地割下扫罗外袍的衣边。

扫罗把枪掷过去，心里说：“我要把大卫刺在墙上。”大卫两次避开了他。

撒督的儿子亚希玛斯说：“让我跑去，把这好消息向王报告，就是耶和华已经把他从仇敌的手中拯救出来了。”

约拿单告诉大卫：“我父亲扫罗正设法要杀死你。所以明天早晨你要小心，留在隐密的地方里，躲藏起来。我会出去，到你藏身的那块田那里，站在我父亲旁边，和他谈论你的事。我看看情形怎样，然后告诉你。”约拿单向父亲扫罗替大卫说好话，说：“王不要得罪你的仆人大卫，因为他没有得罪你；并且他所作的，对你大有好处。他冒着生命的危险击杀了那非利士人，耶和华为以色列人施行了大拯救，那时你看见了，也很欢喜。现在你为什么要犯罪，无缘无故杀死大卫，流无辜人的血呢？”扫罗听了约拿单的话，就起誓，说：“我指着永活的耶和华起誓，大卫必不会被杀死。”约拿单叫大卫来，把这一切话都告诉他；约拿单把大卫带到扫罗那里，他就像以前一样，侍候在扫罗面前。后来，又有战事；大卫出去与非利士人交战，大败他们，他们就在大卫面前逃跑。从耶和华那里来的恶鬼又临到扫罗身上；那时扫罗坐在屋里，手里拿着枪。大卫正在弹琴，扫罗就想用枪刺杀大卫，把他刺在墙上，但大卫从扫罗面前躲开了，他的枪刺在墙上。那天晚上大卫逃跑，就逃脱了。扫罗派人到大卫家里去监视他，要在第二天早晨杀死他。大卫的妻子米甲告诉他说：“今天晚上你若不逃命，明天就会被杀死。”

天哪，你要因她欢喜！众圣徒、众使徒、众先知啊，你们也要因她欢喜！因为神已经在她身上为你们伸了冤。”

那古实人也到了。他说：“有好消息报给我主我王；今天耶和华已经救你脱离那些起来攻击你的人的手了！”

说：“那些要杀害这孩子的人已经死了。起来，带着孩子和他母亲回以色列地去吧。”

他们大声喊叫，说：“圣洁真实的主啊！你不审判住在地上的人，给我们伸流血的冤，要到几时呢？”

但那些寻索我、要杀我的人，必下到地的深处。他们必交在刀剑之下，成了野狗的食物。

他是那位为我伸冤的神，他使万民服在我的脚下，

难道神不会为昼夜呼吁他的选民伸冤吗？难道神会耽误他们吗？我告诉你们，他要快快地给他们伸冤。然而人子来的时候，在世上找得到这种信心吗？”

我的舌头也要终日讲述你的公义，因为那些谋求害我的人已经蒙羞受辱了。

大卫从拉玛的拿约逃走，来见约拿单，说：“我作了什么？我有什么罪孽？我在你父亲面前犯了什么罪，他竟寻索我的性命呢？”
